Sure, our odometers may differ, but I think our speedometers are aligned.Well taste is a very personal thing, but it was definitely in my sweet spot. Your mileage may vary...
Any ideas on the sparkling Shiraz?
Thats what I was thinking, but isnt it usually a vintage sparkling?

yes and I'd wondered about Bleasdale's as well which is $30 rrp but also vintage.
Bleasdale SS is NV, but is $20 direct from the winery and the "history" numbers don't quite match for Bleasdale.
It's all a bit hard isn't it.
Possibly Turkey Flat NV? Doesn't quite feel like a perfect fit, though ...
Not a close match for Turkey Flat on price etc. TF is $40+ direct.
There is one very close match but I haven't seen it confirmed yet.
Not that old and not 5th generation (sold to Brown Brothers family years ago). All Saints??

Campbells sort of fits, but it's not them, not Rutherglen or Victoria as far as I can tell.
There was a clue in my first post on this wine.
Ninth Island Chardonnay 2014 $11.50 (originally $23)

Chardonnay | Tasmania | 2014 | $23 | $11.50 | 25/03/2016 | Pipers Brook Ninth Island | #8126 | Wine Showcase 94, Red 5 Star |
OK. I mainly understand I think..
I'm wondering if its this one, as it mentions 160 years of wine making: https://www.seppelt.com.au/our-wines/sparkling-shiraz/original-sparkling-shiraz though it does appear to be vintage rather than NV.
