Vinomofo Wine Deals

Jumped on the $10.50 black market pinot noir. Peter Leske makes some good stuff and I'm running short on everyday quaffing pinots. Lansdowne pinot noir 2012 matches the description but RRP is off by $2.

(first post)

been lurking on this thread for a bit. needed some quaff pinot and took a punt on your follow up keith. not delivered yet but will report back my thoughts.

oh, and hi :)

Grabbed the Barossa Cab Sav Black Market deal, $15 down from $50. Pretty sure it is the King Louis 2012 from Fox Gordon. Bargain!

Nothing like going through the Halliday Book at 12AM

The 2010 Barossa Shiraz is - Maverick Wines Paraview 2010 - Cork @ 13.5% Alc gives it away. 95 points by CM (not JH) if that matters. - Vino @ $19.90
The 2011 Fiano from Heathcote is the Chalmers Fiano - 94 points by JH and is a 'Cellarhand' wine from DMs @ $34pb - Vino @ $10.50
The 2011 VIC Cab Sav is the Glenlofty Pyrenees Cab Sav - 13.8% Alc. 93 points JH - Vino @ $7.80
The Secret 2012 Chardonnay is the Willow Bridge G1-10 Chardonnay - only thing I'm unsure about is the alcohol, as it's stated as 12.7%, 12.9% and 13% on some sites. Vino - $14.90
The Rousanne Marsanne 2012 is the Glenlofty Pyrenees Rousanne Marsanne - listed as 92 points wine show, but also 91 points JH - Vino $8.40

New to here, just have a case of Neagles Rock Clare Valley Shiraz 2012 delivered. Hope that it's good!

Opened a bottle of Art of War the General Shiraz 2012 last night, powerful but too oaky now, should cellar the remaining for a longer term.

Welcome to AFF bmhchang - sorry I cant answer you about the Neagles Rock but I am sure someone will comment.

Yeah I put the Art of War away for a year or two as well, as it needed a little time. Hopefully it picks up a bit.

Yes, the General is definitely one for the cellar. Think it has potential...

Any thoughts as to the identity of the McClaren Vale Cab Sav for 8.10 per bottle?

Price/state combo leads me to think Glenlofty, they have had their shiraz, cab sav and rousanne/marsanne on as black market deals recently

Price/state and alc % confirm, but not the description on the Glenlofty website. Last up on mof_ on 17/10. Can't find any ref to G/L being a 5 star producer though.

Forget i said that, I have no idea. Thought it was Two Hands, but that's in Barossa...... hmmm.

Vinrock Cab Sauv. Found it.
