Black Market Deal Shiraz 2007 - Red Wine

"If you’ve been following us on Twitter, you’ll know that we’ve self-imposed a ban on swearing for the entire month for Sweartober. What (bad) timing because we can’t find any other adjective to describe this premium Barossa Shiraz besides motherf***ing boss! Oops…Rich with dark and spicy black fruit, kirsch, roasted coffee, gamey and earthy notes with fine supple tannins and graceful acidity, this exclusive Shiraz is hard-to-find. Made by a brilliant 5 red star winery with a solid reputation for producing some of the finest wines to come out of the Barossa, we can tell you that this is the first time we've run a wine from these guys, and what a debut!
If you're lucky enough to get your hands on this, we must warn you... when this lands on your doorstep, make sure no-one’s around because 1) You’ll get in trouble for publicly cursing out of sheer excitement and 2) You may start getting invitations from the neighbours (that you secretly despise) to come over and have a 'drink'. "

Not a lot to go on there. Big price discount if it's true though. Might be prepared to take a punt on a 6 pack but not a dozen

Some/most of the dozen buys turn up as two six packs.. has anyone managed to buy 6 when the deal is for 12

Michelton 2010 Shiraz was 2x 6 packs and I think maybe the Patrick Home Block was also. I have asked mof_ and even on their survey recently mentioned they would get more sales from me if 6 packs were available (but still maybe make it a dozen total needs to be ordered).

Rogers & Rufus Rosé 2012 I bought a couple of months ago was two six packs. My understanding is 6 packs are a relatively recent thing - last few years - so I wouldn't expect older wines such as the 2007 on offer to come in 6 packs. I, too, would buy more if they came in 6 packs.

By way of background, My understanding is the change to 6 packs was driven by demands from from WW and Coles.

99% sure the contraband shiraz is the 2012 vintage of Schild Estate Shiraz. It was a great deal last year for the 2011 at $6, i hope the better vintage makes this an equally good deal

Ordered a case of the contraband shiraz. Hasn't arrived yet (Nexday delivery), but just had a phone call from Vinomofo about another deal. Asked what the contra shiraz is - Schild Estate. :D:D

6 packs have been around for quite a few years, but from experience used to be for more expensive wines. I remember some 1998 Xanadu Lagan Estate Reserve Cabernet arriving in impressive blue 6 packs, each bottle individually wrapped in blue tissue paper. Have 2 still in the fridge, think they need drinking now.

It is indeed the 'Schild' -... ;)

(Footnote: Ordered Friday, 'twas was delivered next door - neighbors found it on their doorstep yesterday morning.)

Maverick Trial Hill 2007 Shiraz was the $20 ($70) that just got delivered to my boss.

Isn't that from the Eden Valley? The original ad was for a Barossa wine! More mischief from Vinomofo? If so this continues to be misleading and deceptive conduct and definitely in breach of section 18 of the ACL.

Oh - and the malbec Blend is definitely the Capel Vale Cellar Exclusive Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon. I've had a couple of bottles, but I think I need to try another bottle tonight before I give a solid answer! ;)
