Vinomofo Wine Deals

This didn't even last 20 minutes to sell 20 cases of 6. But it was nice to get the email heads up.

Even if I've never bought a CS (even a blend) through VM.

If anyone is interested and missed out (the latter being most people I'm guessing) - can pick up from Dan's for a similar price. Better deal once you add in cashback etc
My mate is a buyer for United Cellars in NZ and raves about this wine. Have been trying to find some for my son's birth year (2013) without luck..

I ordered from Dan just about a month ago, they will
not send you the 2014, it is all sold out. I'm still waiting for my refund.

Te Mata is one of NZ's best cabernet producers - have a few of their bottles slumbering away :)

For the 2013 Coleraine - these guys have it at $89.95 bottle according to their website:
Canterbury Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon
Canterbury wines is a great outfit with plenty of older vintages. He helped me back fill my Shotfires from the early 2000's. Very reasonably priced as well.

FWIW, what did they send you? Most of the recent vintages have also been excellent, so possibly still good value-for-money for others out there.
Did your bottle(s) come from an individual store? or from their warehouse? That can also affect what you get.

I doubt it too, but had to start somewhere. It gives all the rest of at least a chance before you claim it.
Savaterre also comes to mind, but maybe I am looking in the wrong region. Crickey, nearly everything in Vic is cool climate isn't it.

Tom Hanks just shot an arrow at me. Whatever it is, it certainly reads well ( yes, I know all things Fo read well ) BUT this is the replacement for my Star lane Sangiovese. The Star lane shiraz from last week was beautiful, so here's hoping for this one.
We all love surprises, so AC do your best to unsurprise me....with that slight point five percenter that you may be incorrect.

RHEMS - great.

they send me 2008 which I already have. They also checked stocks to exchange but no more stock in Australia so refund is the only option for me

Did you return it?

No I didn't return them. Had a case of 12 and had pre sold 7 of them before they arrived or I knew what they were. Besides, I think I enjoy hating this wine a little too much, a source of much amusement to me. I posted my two pennies on it on this forum a few months ago, others challenged it, but I stand by what I said as my source should have been 'informed'.

Finally got to open the recent Fo's Hewitson Miss Harry GSM 2013. Still a little too 'noisy' like some would say a piece from Tippett, but quaffable with a good pizza at hand. I thought it's a nice quaffable-pinot alternative (excluding the Burgundian grades), and if 3 years bottle age isn't giving it any more settling then it shan't be much more settled. Drink now and for another 3 years. But quaffable for that price...? I'm not sure, given the Maverick standard set at $9 for a good-enough midweek GSM. Anyway can't really compare, one's Hewitson one's Maverick, and the Miss Harry's got some other Cinsault and Carignan what-nots thrown in. Variety is fine if there's space.
