Vinomofo Wine Deals

Expect to see the Simon Lang pop up in mystery cases to boost the RRP

The RRP on the website is $90.

I've never tried this wine but at $20 it would be worth a punt maybe if it came in a six pack. Not really up for a full case and my supplies are pretty good at the minute

I meant VM will put it into a mixed mystery case so they can claim the case has a high RRP and tell us how much we are saving

My thoughts exactly.
I wouldn't mind a case of 6 at that price but a dozen is just too much, especially for a label I'm not familiar with.

The bordeaux blend looks like the Thorn Clarke Quartage

I was considering buying a few cases of this but realised the alc % on VM is 13.5% and Thorn Clarke website is 14.5% and Dan Murphys has 14.0%. Have i got the right wine?

I don't think that's it as the blend doesn't match up. No Petit Verdot in the Quartage.

The quartage is a blend of at least 4 out of the 5 grape types Cab sav, cab franc, merlot, malbec and petit verdot. The exact makeup of the blend varies year to year.

The 2012 Quartage is Cab Sauv (53%), Cab Franc (20%), Petit Verdot (15%), Merlot (12%). (from Thorn Clarke website)

Still keen to figure out what the Margret River Cab Sav Secret Deal is, anyone have any clue?

Also keen to find out. Initially thought it was Amelia Park but not sure. Notice also that their location has change from Margaret River to WA on the website. Possible only the grapes were sourced from MR but the winery is located elsewhere like Denmark, Albany, Grt Southern, etc.

Just had my first vino phone call. They'd got more stock of something I'd bought before and at a lower price than before. With christmas coming some inexpensive but tasty sparkling doesnt go astray.

I got a call from the Fo on Tuesday spruiking some wine of little interest. Their sales staff seem to have very limited knowledge of wine generally, including their current stock. I enquired if they had any more of the Black Market (Chalmers) Fiano I had bought the week before, to which they replied 'no' however it's in the current 'end of run' sale. And for anyone interested in good wine - the Fiano is real quality and a steal at $10.50 - stock up!
