Vinomofo Wine Deals

Ha, yeah I guess... ;)

My guess is actually the Elderton High Altitude Shiraz. $20 on the site, but has 14.0% alc.... not the very unique 13.9%. Unless I'm looking way too hard into this and it's just the Fox Gordon Eight Uncles Shiraz!

~it's definitely the Eight Uncles Shiraz. Was previously a 200 limited case Contraband in September (I'm sure those who picked it up would back me up here)

Thanks, much oak? I like a nice oaky chardy

It's definitely got oak but it isn't a massively big Chardy in the WA sense ( eg Devils Lair, Pierro etc).

I too love oak, this has enough to keep me interested and it tastes much better than an equivalently priced one from a big chain.
I have purchased another 6 pack from this new offer.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Any comments on the Bellvale pinot noir currently being advertised? I like Gippsland pinots but was wondering if anyone has tried this particular one.

Keith, you pre-empted my own enquiry:

Yes, I'm also interested in any feedback re the Bellvale pinot, but even more interested in feedback re the Warner Glen Margaret River chardonnay 2012.

I am working through a case of the Warner Glen Chardonnay and I like it a lot. Really great balance of fruit and oak. The 2012 vintage in Margaret River was rated 10/10 for Chardonnay. These days it seems as if you throw a rock you will hit someone making good chardonnay in Margaret River. Lots of terrific options out there, and this is one of them.

It's Thompson Estate. I bought it the last time it was on. Beautiful Chardy at that price
you are right..this site is extremely difficult to manoevre, so i just plucked your reply and responded.
now this thompson chardy normally sells for 45...what i have found with my reds is that those that cost 8-12 thru vinomofo have no true bearing on the quality. what i mean is that a wine could taste better at a normal rrp of 20 compared to a rrp of 35. basically, they are great value wines for 8-10regardless ! by saying that and not really being a late 30's and over payer for product, how does a thompson at 45 normal price compare to other cheapies that you obviously have bought around the tenner range? would you concur with me...

The "last one" they had was excellent. 2008 vintage.

I purchased 2 cases and drunk about a bottle and a half at their VIM customer party with notzac :oops:

May just give this one a go then. Always keen to discover new pinot. :)

keith...how can you go wrong with their return policy....to that end, if something reads like'medium to full, with a cherry fruit aroma, and ends up being watery with an olive nature, you can demand a refund. i havent done it with vinomof, but did it with graysonline and winemarket. cheers from a serious wine lover.

Hi beefarmer and welcome to AFF. You should come to an AFF wine tour - check out the calendar for events in November and January.

hello...i also got the cellar release and find it to be quite nice, surprisingly full, the kind that gets fuller and fuller as each glass drops, but a very enjoyable classy wine. Way under a tenner for this wine is great buying indeed....
