Vinomofo Wine Deals

True that. I had the Ulithorne double-decanted and aired over 6 hours before tasting it over 3 days. It was dead the first day and excellent on the third. Delicious, quality fruit and oak. I've put it in the Drink-from-2018 spot, and I think even then it'd need a good 8 hour airing.

Got to say I found the Ulithorne to be quite a good drink straight out of the bottle and after a few days open. Its not breathtaking, but it is also not bankbreaking. Each to their own I guess.

Whining&dining, Hart arrived just now and is indeed under a cork. Funny at 12.00pm today it was showing as in transit and Monday delivery. Cheers

You would have to share that way. After school drinks. Cheers

Fox and Hounds is a good offer but can those in the know comment on how it stacks up against other blends such as Church Block and so on? I am trying to make an informed decision. I am just about to go boom as I have worked out where I am going to hide it. Cheers

You have ParcelPoint in Tassie? VM now have that as a click and collect option. Bit more discreet way to throw your missus and employer off your fermented grape scent...

I've taken a punt on the Fox & Hounds too with free delivery. Looking forward to seeing the feedback once people start quaffing.

Given that no one's tasted this new F&H, I'd say it's going to be very hard for anyone to give you an opinion vs. the Church Block.

Are you talking wirra wirra church block? If so Fox and hounds way ahead. Wirra church block must have changed grape supplies or wine maker years ago, as used to love it, last few years/vintages are mainstream plonk in my opinion, or are you referring to the mof_ margaret river, west australian offer?

No conversation was about Wirra Wirra church block.Have to agree with your opinion except for 2009 and 2013 vintages. Cheers and thanks

I'd agree that the Wirra Wirra Church Block is nothing special.

However, we have only a single vintage of F&H to compare to, and last year's products were a straight shiraz and a shiraz cab blend. Neither of which is directly comparable to CB.

This year, we have a Shiraz Cab Merlot blend, and who knows, it might be terrible...

Damn, are you one of those 'mentalists' (possibly a bit tricky for the septics to spell clairvoyant) no actually I just don't like them knowing how much I drink....

Now that is a definite possibility V50, I'll have to investigate.

Oh you are too cruel, looks yummy....

Has me tempted too but I'm holding back....just

Same thing has just happened with the Driftwood Cab Sav, came home tonight and there it was cluttering up my vestibule (I've had a sip but not prepared to do a proper show and tell à la Wozza at this stage)

You obviously don't work in my department as I wouldn't tell anyone

Sounds like you might want to be cut in on the takings though!

Thank you for being the voice of reason, steeling my resolve to not buy.
I'm going to not buy, wait for others to receive and review, then kick myself when it's wonderful and VM have run out and it doesn't come back.

Just. Like. Last. Time.

True it could be. Think I will stick with the Cape Mentelle Trinders blend. A lovely wine for the weekly quaffing. Cheers and thanks:D

Actually, if I remember correctly, according to my VM broker, last year's Shiraz Cab blend was a Shiraz Cab Merlot blend, but Merlot was just less than 15%, so didn't make it onto the label. For this year, Merlot is just over 15%, so required to go on the label.
