Vinomofo Wine Deals

I'm not sure that the general consensus on the 14 was poor. I recall some returned it because it was too 'pepperly' for their liking, but I seem to recall there were just as many who quite liked it, me included. Funnily enough, the 14 has the best score of the 3 on vivino.

i agree, have both the 2012 and the 2014 GSM and i really liked the 14, more so than the 12 which also had the labelling issue on the bottles.

would have got the 2015 GSM if i didnt get the pinot instead on Tuesday.

From my memory it was the only vintage I heard some grumblings about. Only heard praise for 2012 and 2013. Happy to be proven wrong as I still have 12 bottles sitting idle behind a sofa! :)

Thats great!! Just picked up a case each of the gsm and cab blend at about 5.25 a bottle. Click and collect. Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck to you concussed.....the early bird picked up the worms but in this case, no tequila for this young maverick. Someone posted about six and a half hours ago that the code had expired?

Have just taken delivery of the Shiraz LaBoeuf and Co. case and just thought I'd trot out the contents not that there are any great surprises:

1 x 2014 Maverick Ahrens Creek
1 x 2015 Capel Vale Cellar Exclusive
2 x 2014 Richard Hamilton
2 x 2013 Chain of Ponds Graves Gate
2 x 2013 Anarchist Mt Benson
2 x 2015 Norfolk Rise Mt Benson

I've twisted the top off a Norfolk Rise and obviously I'm not expecting Chateau Margaux for $10 but.....it's OK, certainly not bowled over by it, still very young and might be more exciting in a few years time but I'm kinda glad I didn't jump on a dozen of these when they first came around! Still slightly suffering the aftermath of a bout of sinusitis so I'm probaly being a bit harsh, quite stoked to have received the bottle of Maverick Ahrens Creek in the case though...

Have tasted per LaBoeuf contents- Norfolk Rise. Tasty enough, would buy again (and did at this $)
Graves Gate. Uninteresting/dull, wouldn't buy again.
Anarchist. Thoroughly enjoyed, re buy.
Capel Vale. OK & would buy again this $ (previously purchased)

Well Ozshiraz I concur with your ratings/tastings. I'm slowly working my way through the case and would agree with you regarding the Norfolk Rise, I was a bit hard on it first time around and after a return to it some days later found it a very quaffable drop and definitely far better than the Graves Gate which you have paraphrased beautifully as dull and uninspiring. You know it's a funny thing this whole wine tasting caper, I frequently find myself questioning my judgement regarding just how good (or bad) a wine really is, are my tastebuds declining, have my sinuses led me astray? All I know is that it's usually transparently obvious when a wine just isn't up to scratch but it never hurts to have one's doubts confirmed...BTW have just cracked into the Schild 2014 Barossa Shiraz and THIS is my kind of wine, bold, up-front fruit and good balancing acidity, I look forward to a spot of anarchy sometime soon!

Sorry, what is your order of preference mate?

I got a Mule in one of their mixed cases recently - might explain why they are spreading them out :)

Are any of these available for boom time today?

I absolutely love the HH (Gundagai I presume) Shiraz for its fruit, body, acid balance and finesse but I did also buy some of the Willungas thru another retailer. I am very much looking forward to trying that one.

Any chance someone can please post the link for the innocent bystander shiraz on the FO? Cant see it on my side.

Thanks in advance guys
