Vinomofo Wine Deals

Yes I avoided that one, I read some pretty average reviews for it so I passed on it thankfully.

Had another crack tonight - oh so disappointing.. now to decide - do I try out the Vinomofo return policy for the first time or so I gift to friends who will only judge it by the $45 price tag they see when they google it!!!

I just put through the return request.. I couldn't palm this off knowing how bad it is... Is a shame but the 2010 Secret Deal at the moment (which i think is Hay Shed Hill Block 2) may be a suitable replacement!

Can you please clarify what Red Bigot offers to it's subscribers? :)

It's kind of like an Oz Bargain for wine. Very early notification of good deals from the chains and online retailers and identification of Secret Deals. It's run as a forum so it's easy to see the latest posts. Mainly reds but does have a white sub forum.

Think that's more likely to be the Bordeaux blend. I bought some of the Maverick Twins 2010, and while it is quite nice, I feel it wasn't the best vintage for this wine. Wondering if I should return for the 2009? (Assuming that's what the Contraband Bordeaux blend is).

Which one? I think there are 4 or 5 in the Twins series of wines. I am referring to the Contraband GSM which looks similar to the one recently marketed on the Fo, and a few on here indicated that is was the Maverick Twins GSM, which is according to them, a very good drop for the price.

Yes, sorry, my bad. I was referring to the Cab Sav, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cab Franc blend. 2010 a bit sweet for me.

Which one?

Maybe I have been dropped from the list for reducing my spend? :(

2010 Barossa Shiraz, 5 Gold medals, 95 Jeremy Oliver points. Super Iconic wine, was $100, now $49.90. Previous vintage scored 97 from Halliday.

I would also like to know what it is but I haven't worked it out yet.

When I think Barossa 2010, $100 and iconic I think Elderton Command, Peter Lehmann Stonewall, St Hallet Old Block, John Duval Eligo...

Barossa 2010 Shiraz, 5 Golds rrp $100 95pts Jeremy Oliver. JH gave previous vintage 97

Oh, I did get that one... The VIM is in very small writing and not in the email subject line... Not so good for us old folks to see.

They have been very vague...

The limited information available suggests it could be the Saltram No.1 Shiraz 2010

But that is a guess, so do not rely on this information.
