Vinomofo Wine Deals

Now that the Black Bull has magically appeared on their website, I'd agree that it's likely this. Otherwise it's worth noting that their latest vintages of Steyning (from 2013) are essentially their Reserve Cab Savs now. So considering the love the previous Reserves have gotten by VM, there's always the chance it's a 2014 Steyning, for what it's worth.

Review: 2014 Penley Estate Black Bull Cabernet Sauvignon

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Oh not sure now but has been run of seeing a wine mentioned and not able being to find it .....think this was one

Ulithorne (Familia?) Shiraz 2014 (Ex VM @ about $12/bot

The VenoMofo does not have search option so it makes try to find a wine difficult to me.

My aim is find cheap Reds that will improve if Cellar ed ...budget is very low may be lowest ...so a heads up on super cheap deal would be awesome

You generally need good quality wine if you want to cellar it for a long time. You're unlikely to find such wine deals on a public forum, which is open to the entire internet, especially on a tight budget.

On the other hand, there are some good/decent wines on VM at cheap prices, but they tend to be "drink now" type wines.

Cheap wine doesn't cellar well, so you're basically out of luck or taking a risk. Only thing I could suggest is to buy wines in the $10-$15 bracket from major wineries. e.g. Wynns Shiraz or CSM. They usually cellar well and are at the lower end of reasonable, easy accessible wine.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

what is your price range ? for under $20 i can think of a few but might not be available on vm.

mike press shiraz / cabernet

hoddles creek pinot / chardonnay .(there's others on the website)

seppelt chalambar shiraz

lake breeze shiraz/ cabernet , shiraz cab

Metale shiraz cab

tyrrells hunter shiraz / chard/ sem ( for reds 13,14 , for whites usually all good)

most of these could cellar well 10 years + but you really need to have a look at vintage reports on how well the vintage/harvest for that year. if you are really looking into cellaring , might as well do more research andy make your cellar worthy. and spend more on quality wine of course.

Over the years, some wine purchased from VM can be cellared and improve:
Glenlofty Pyrenees Shiraz 2011, bought it for $7.8 a bottle, drank a bottle last Christmas and IS still improving, and the last two cases will be cellared beyond 2020;
Both of the Fox Creek Fox & Hounds 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, very good now and should be fine for a few more years;
Fox Gordon Brothers & Sisters Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, very good now and should be fine for a few more years; &
Many vintages of Maverick Twins varieties, all these wine are below $10 a bottle from VM and cellared well (Oh well, medium term if not long haul).
