Vinomofo Wine Deals

I've been absent from this forum for a bit. Does anyone have any currently available semi-cheap recommendations that I can stock up my supplies with. The cupboard has run dry....
Not VM so please don't scold me ;). I have just ordered from Winemarket a mixed case as cheap and cheerful. Well I hope they are cheerful - All Killer Whites (14 Bottles) . $99 plus 7% from CR for 14 bottles .

What makes you think it's Ironstone instead of "normal" orange label? Did she go on a gap year and skip 2016 at the Fo?
I didn’t think vm had ever offered anything but the ironstone. I know there was much consternation/discussion on this forum when people weren’t receiving the orange label. Though many had it that it was the same juice. Has anyone completed a side by side tasting?

VM has given past purchasers of the Ironstone Shiraz a heads up that the 2017 vintage is on offer after they skipped a couple of vintages.
Halliday's review of the 2017 Gt. Southern WA vintages is ..".. all bar one agree that riesling and pinot noir will be exceptional, with perfumed shiraz not far behind. Only one report was less enthusiastic, describing overall quality as above average, but not exceptional." I find AP wines to be consistently good.. guess I'll have to give this one a try.. I've got both the local and export version of the 2014..... same wine

Their Margaret River reds are generally a class above but I agree, their Frankland River shiraz is a good quaffer and well priced too..

Agreed, Amelia never disappoints. Even the Trellis.

Got word that there won't be cab merlot offered this year - it's popular now, so no surplus. :(

Thanks W&D. Looks to be in line with my tastes. I noticed it is actually $27.95 direct from Koonara site. A few positive reviews floating around. (Nicks also had it rated at 95)
I've had a couple of these now. I'm quite pleased, definitely fruit forward for a cabernet. The Shiraz of the same vintage seems to rate *much* higher on Vivino...

You can't expect everyone to be a new user and willing to click your endless run of new user referral links.

I don't, and am sure that not everyone has only one account or email address (or otherwise they could always make up one :)) - and whilst it is a $40 referee voucher, rest assured that I'll never use a $10 referrer voucher given that it can't be combined with any other

This is $83.94 for 6 with an RRP of $17 per bottle. Much better value to be found out there, including the Amelia Park in this (on-topic) thread.

Perhaps, as I don't generally buy such cheap wine myself - better beer can be found at this price-point - however was just trying to help given that there had been no other replies besides @prozac's WineMarket suggestion - and not sure what RRP has to do with value, but considering Vivino ratings, the Tim Smith Bugalugs Shiraz at $9.13 could be regarded as cheaper and better than the Amelia Park Ironstone, though I haven't tasted them

All good and thanks for pointers - I ended up taking a case of the Amelia Ironstone shiraz having been a fan of the cab merlot previously. Might have to look for another case of quaffers though now having noted Buzzard's comment above :)
