Vinomofo Wine Deals

VM watch this thread.
That is all I can say.

Hardly surprising. This thread is currently the third hit on Google for "Vinomofo Secret Deals"... We are even beating some of the other forums.

I found this thread by googling trying to find out what was in one of the secret cases. Quickly gave up and was side tracked.

My first post on the forum, I basically joined for this thread :P

I bought a black market case that turned out to be Ngeringa 2008 shiraz :D so I wasn't particularly upset about having a whole case of that...
However, I generally prefer variety - so I found a way around it that also gets a range of participants

I'm lucky enough to work in a pretty big workplace so I shot out an email with the down low on ordering / splitting cases and shipping, idea of what everyone likes, how much they'd like to spend and how often. Got about 15 responses with a good mixed result.

In 2 weeks, we've bought 2 reds, 1 white and 1 mixed case - I've taken 1-2 bottles out of each with the rest going to whoever wants in. Not always the same people.

People get cheap wine delivered to their desks and we all get some variety, everybody wins!

Anyone have any idea what the 2012 Coonawarra Cab Sav secret deal is?

It's almost certainly a repeat... Lindeman's (Coonawarra) St George Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012.

I have a case at home, but haven't opened any yet, so can't comment on quality.

I've not had this (although do have some in the cellar purchased from a different source) and this is a seriously good quality wine.

That was my closest guess...

Haven't been keeping track of this thread for the last 50 pages or so. Apologies if many of today's secrets are repeats, but if anyone has a list handy, much appreciated if it can be posted.

mof_ SECRET DEAL Shiraz 2012. $160 down to $64.

'If you can’t afford to spend $160 on a bottle of 97 Halliday pointed, McLaren Vale Shiraz (and honestly, there are very few who can), this is your moment to shine, and by “shine”, I obviously mean “buy.” Now whether you’re going in on a case with some friends or you’re treating yourself to this once in a lifetime offer, you need to go hard or go home because you will never see a deal like this ever again.

Produced by one of the most exciting wineries in Australia, known for making some insanely sensational South Australian reds, this McLaren Vale vino is from the gorgeous 2012, is packed with points, finesse and most of all, it’s packed with flavour. Scoring an outstanding 97 point rating from Sir Halliday, this is an amazing Shiraz which offers bright, spiced berries, bitter chocolate and rich, succulent plums on the nose and palate. Paired with beautifully integrated oak and stunning, rippling tannins this is hands down one of the best wines we’ve ever offered and easily one of the best deals we’ve ever run. The votes are in and it’s unanimous - this is the biggest Shiraz deal of Vinomofo history and we’re excited to share it with you.

Sorry, did I mention it has 97 points!?'

Maybe the 2012 Hasselgrove 'CRUTH' McLaren Vale Shiraz?

They had the 2011 on last week for $48.

EDIT: I see this one was discussed here about 3 weeks ago. Did anyone buy it and can confirm what it was as the $160 RRP doesn't match the $170 that Hasselgrove has it for on its web site.

Yea! Confirmed it is the 2012 Hasselgrove 'CRUTH' McLaren Vale Shiraz as I shared a bottle from my workmate's case.
And on Haselgrove's website it's RRP is $170, but on their order form (via Wineboss.com) it's $160.

Bmhchang Can you advise what you thought of the Cruth. I bought a 6 pack last time it was on but haven't tried any yet.

I have the bottle but don't think I will open it in the coming 2-3 years so can't make any comment.

But of course won't cellar for too long as its bottled with cork!

Good grief, the VIM Coldstream Hills Pinot sold quick!!

- Apparently a broken link, as you were.
