Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just had a call back from VM. Say they haven't had Hannah's Swing for a while, but they do have some 8 Uncles at $8.25. HS at that price would be the bargain of the century, as VM had it at $22.50 (she said) last time.

Buzz, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

The latter figure is roughly what I paid IIRC

If it all works out for you (and I trust it will) I think a few here may want to be introduced to your broker ;)

Big discount on today's premium black market wine:

BLACK MARKET DEAL Shiraz 2011
$160 down to $48

"$160 down to $48. 70% off and saving over $100 per bottle. Have we gotten your attention? Good, because you haven’t and won’t ever see a deal like this ever again.

Sometimes in life $160 bottles of wine just aren’t feasible (unless you’re secretly a Sultan of Brunei, in which case I’m still waiting for you to propose to me). Sometimes we can only dream of drinking such luxurious and iconic wines. Today (and quite possibly only today) you have the chance to buy a stunning, premium McLaren Vale Shiraz from one of Australia’s most exciting wineries. Not only has this complete overachiever stolen the heart of Sir. Halliday by raking in a smooth 95 point rating, it’s also been crowned a winner with a golden medal of achievement and takes home a 92 point score from Robert Parker. Oozing with bright, rich plums and spiced cherries, the nose and palate are succulent, juicy and seductive. With hints of dark chocolate and silky, rippling tannins, this is a 95 point Shiraz that deserves your respect and at this price deserves to be in your cellar."

Any ideas? Worth it? Or just another high priced wine that no one would have ever bought at $160?

Has anyone had the 2011 version of the Maverick Twins GSM. My broker just offered me some instead of the 2012 i was looking for

Haselgrove 2011 Cruth was sold recently as a $170 wine for $64 and Halliday had this vintage as 97 points so don't think it is this again.
This offer sounds like the 2011 vintage though.

Botchee - the rating on the Haselgrove website matches VM - 2011 Cruth JH 95 pts etc. I think the97 pts is the 2012 vintage

Unfortunately I got the call too and you are correct. Never mind.

Purchased a Doz - longest time I've ever taken to knock off a doz bottles of anything!

I was also looking at this as well, seems like a good deal but doz is just too much for us so will have to wait for an attractive offer on 6 pack Chardy.
