Vinomofo Wine Deals

2011 Maverick Twins gsm went down well for whoever asked. A bit fresh but a good drop with a bbq.

Recently purchased the 2012, which is fantastic for the $, didn't know they had recently sold the 2011 vintage. What was the $ per bottle?

I assume that was the Reserve?

If it were the Reserve, that would be a bargain :) But it's the Esplanade, and the usual sources have other availability in the same price range. Heck Winehouse have individual bottles at $44: http://www.winehouse.com.au/categories.asp?cID=1497&cN=Coldstream Hills&c=125831

Other options:
2013 Coldstream Hills The Esplanade Pinot Noir., Yarra Valley - myCellars.com.au ($44.95)
https://www.crackawines.com.au/Coldstream_Hills/2012_Coldstream_Hills_The_Esplanade_Pinot_Noir/Sales ($46.99)

For any producer in the Langtons classification (e.g. Coldstream Hills), I'd recommend getting a Langtons broker - the prices are generally the same, but they have access to far more allocation.

Just bought a case of mitolo savitar shiraz at winemarket.com.au/McLaren-Vale-Shiraz-Mystery for around $30each if anyone is interested. Use coupon code: AIRTASKER50 to get $50 off. very nice drop. RRP is 80. At 30 its a bargain.

Bought a dozen - an excellent drop at the price. Note the coupon is for the total order, not per 1/2 doz, so price/bottle will vary depending on what's in your shopping cart. But thanks for alerting me to this offer - Mitolo are a bit hit/miss, but their hits are pretty good.

I realise this is VM thread and apologise if I am a bit off topic but I have to agree, the 2007 Mitolo Savitar is a very big wine with plenty of life left.. Velvety, dark, full bodied rich and delicious!

I bought a dozen in two ‘mystery’ lots averaging around $30 a bottle.. An absolute bargain! Interestingly, the first case, bought prior to Christmas, contained stelvin capped bottles yet my most recent purchase (using AIRTASKER50) consisted of bottles of the same vintage but with corks (they look like they were originally destined for the Taiwanese market). Have only tasted a couple of the stelvins to date and was most impressed on both occasions.

Still in stock at Winemarket for $37.50 a bottle (that is if you can’t find a discount code). Just look for the Mystery Premium 94 Point McLaren Vale Shiraz….you won’t be disappointed!

Yes I passed on this, not much cheaper than other sources, also not required to purchase 6 bottles. If it were the reserve I would be all over it. Can get great pinot for under $30 these days.

Anyone know what the black market Chardy is? Run out of decent quaffer Chardy.

My suspicion is Glen Lofty, based on the price point and VM selling a lot of their reds, but would appreciate someone else confirming and commenting on it if they have tried it.

Also, any idea on the aged semillon?

Think it might be the Glenlofty Chardy...pass
