Vinomofo Wine Deals

Deep, dark but bright, red/purple colour. The nose is chocolaty, spicy and fragrant, with a liberal cedary oak, wood-aged patina. It's fleshy and quite high in tannins, but they're smooth tannins. Good intensity, fleshiness and concentration. Nice extract and a core of fruit sweetness. This has some gravitas. Good wine and will be better in years to come.

let us know the mad hatters 2012 shiraz tasting notes from other punters out there. fifty year old vines are going to be about six inches thick making the wine quite impressive, or so is the theory.

Sigh. Just making me jealous. Lucky I've got some decent wine lined up at home...

Nice! I got a sixer of both the Mother Vine and Mad Hatter, looking forward to trying them in a few years.

sounds very appealing this 2010 fifty eight bucker......all i can say is that the tasting notes from kate and karel are usually spot on, and in this wine, the petite, perky kate was obviously waxing very lyrically. i was punting as i was reading that it was an over fifteener. My other guess is that is isn't a barossan, but we all shall be enlightened by those seeking a challenge. and that reminds me, did anyone read in the last week that over 70per cent of wine out there is sold by coles and woolies now, and most of it is predominatly mass produced shizen plus the many own labels. anyone thinking that the Fo, kemenys and one or two others don't have a bright future are seriously misguided. the deals will continue and continue and mean that great value will always be there. remember WB said price is what you pay, value is what you get. fifty eight down to a twenty will re-occur, just like the hewitson labels that are magnificent value....and above all, magnificent quality.

Boutique wineries will always be around.
We wine drinkers have heaps of choice be it Woolies, Coles, Aldi or other small wineries.

Here's my wild guess.

Brockenshack Jack Harrison Shiraz.
rrp $58

Is Eden Valley considered SA?
Alc 14.5% YES
94 points - YES
most expensive looking bottles?
Haven't seen it before in Vinomofo.

Brockenshack had a sparkling red up last year sometime so the relationship is there. And yes Eden Valley is SA

Adelaide Hills Chardonnay could be Somerled but not much info. I'm tempted cos i like a chardy on the buttery side
