Vinomofo Wine Deals

Money for nothing and my chicks for free. Well, that is if I knew someone who owned a farm and was giving away the cute little things but at least I got the first part right. Managed to shift a couple of dozen plonks from under the house to mates which has freed up some coin and temptation being what it is has got me into a 6 pack of the shiraz/cab blend from Mclaren vale, a little bit of bling there which always helps but the archer saw me to await with great enthusiasm. This archer, the great actor himself, said Thanks. Free postage thanks to one of you above and on the last page I think and for $107.40 for 6, which would be less than one and three quarter bottles at normal price, I reckon i have a fair chance of a keeper. Talking of keepers, the Circe 2016 pinot is a very good wine. Four enjoyed it at dinner on friday night and that's that. A winner . A very finessy pinot, perhaps the less jagged edged pinot i have ever had. Maybe it is in the sweet spot, but there was a nice acidic edge at the end. Not promiment though ! Good fruit, interesting as when i poured it, it looked like it was so thin, but surprise surprise, with a bit of air - next time a nice 90 minute decant at home, probably this weekend - it was definately a medium bodies style. Had them fuller and they have tasted cough. Had them leaner and they have been like cordial. A de bortoli for $14 last year was just cordial. So for about $14 a bot, its great buying.

The other think that caught my eye and not the wallet was the assorted 96 pointer red, for about $20 a bot i think. Some nice stuff in there if you wanted a variety pack.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the pinot, sadly they are all gone.

Might pick up some Pirramimma ACJ
Was just regretting not grabbing some Pirramimma Heritage before the ebay deals expired - so jumped on this. cheers.

Shopback tracked at 5% on this too. though won't be surprised if it invalidates because of the voucher code.

I know - only got it as somebody I know recommended it. I just completely ignore his ratings as irrelevant (and JHs when it comes to Coonawarra)
I got into a discussion between the 2 versions, the 95pt is available for $13-14 at Skye Cellars. I believe the more premium, same vineyard is 96pts which was a hidden label at Winestar. I could be wrong, but I felt they were basically the same wine. The winery never responded to me, which basically says something to me as most always respond.

Just got this from my VM broker if anyone is keen

1. BLACK MARKET OLD-VINE BAROSSA SHIRAZ 2016

97 Points - Wine Orbit 2019

RRP: $150

Usual Vinomofo price: $59.90

Exclusive EOFY price drop: $55 per bottle in a case of 6!

This Shiraz has easily been one of our most popular and re-ordered super premium Shiraz deals this year. This wine comes from a sensational family owned, cult-followed Barossa producer. Fruit is sourced from two 90 year old vineyards producing sensational, low yielding Shiraz.

The nose explodes with notes of punchy blackberries and plums followed by chocolate, baking spices and gentle cedar. 40 months in French oak creates a palate of lush, powerful black fruit and spices with impressive length and structure.

Alc: 15 %

cellaring: now-2033

2. BLACK MARKET BAROSSA SHIRAZ 2018

98 points Wine Advocate (Joe Czerwinski)

This mega premium shiraz screams luxury and decadence. Maximum power and intensity has been achieved here with the premium fruit being dried on racks prior to fermentation similar to that of the Amarone style of Italy. No expense is spared here as the wine then spends 24 months in new French oak. The wine is tremendously full bodied with fine, silky tannins combined with concentrated ripe plums and blueberries wrapped in chocolate, spice and liquorice.

Alc: 15.8%

cellaring: now-2035

RRP: $150

Usual Vinomofo price: $64.90

Exclusive EOFY price drop: $59.90 per bottle in a case of 6!

3. BLACK MARKET MCLAREN VALE SHIRAZ 2018

96 points James Halliday

5 Red Star Producer James Halliday
97 Points Wine Orbit

A special deal put aside exclusively for us dealers, this is truly top shelf MclarenVale Shiraz. Perfect balance between high quality fruit and expert use of french oak leads to an expressive palate showcasing black berries, plums, cedar and dark chocolate. This structured Shiraz is full of intensity and power now and will really improve with time in the cellar if you have the patience!

Alc: 14.5 %

cellaring: now-2033

RRP: $150

Usual Vinomofo price: $69.90

Exclusive EOFY price drop: $59.90 per bottle in a case of 6!

Grabbed a doz when it was around, nice enough wine, 4 days opened and still good on the last day.
At $12.50 (using a $30voucher) and free freight the 2016 del'd is good value for $$$, I'd give it a go again if it was available.

I would call my broker to ask, but I've called him twice in the last week 🤣🤣🤣

Anyone know any of these? VM has had some really solid deals lately.
