Vinomofo Wine Deals

Got this from a VM Broker

I'm excited to let you know that I have pre-arrival access to two new premium reds from one of our favourite McLaren Vale producers. We've never had their flagship wines before and the discount on these is insane! We're also offering a pre-arrival price drop, so I would highly recommend jumping on these deals now before they increase in price upon arrival to our warehouse!

This winery is known for producing small-batch high-quality red wines from its estate vineyard in McLaren Vale. Using a minimalist approach to winemaking, they are passionately focussed on ensuring that their wines truly celebrate the unique terroir of their 70+ year-old vineyard.
These two reds are their flagship wines and represent the absolute pinnacle of their range.

1. Black Market Shiraz (pre-arrival) - McLaren Vale, SA

5 Red Star Rated Winery - Halliday Wine Companion
8/10 Vintage Rating - Halliday Wine Companion

This McLaren Vale Shiraz is eye-catching in glass with its deep garnet colour. The aromatic bouquet is elegantly structured and classically McLaren Vale in character. Notes of ripe red cherry and juicy redcurrant are complemented by hints of black pepper and baking spice. The palate is rich and bold with blackberry, plum and dark cherry framed by cracked black pepper and structured tannins. McLaren Vale Shiraz to a tee and a beautifully balanced expression at that. A fantastic addition to the cellar.

Alcohol: 14.5%
Cellaring: now - 2033

RRP: $85.00 per bottle
Vinomofo price: $29.00 per bottle
Exclusive price-drop
: $25.50 per bottle in 6pk (limited time only!)
Due for dispatch from our warehouse on the 22nd of September

2. Black Market Cabernet Shiraz 2018 (pre-arrival) -
McLaren Vale, SA

5 Red Star Rated Winery - Halliday Wine Companion
8/10 Vintage Rating - Halliday Wine Companion

In colour, it's a beautiful deep crimson. Aromatically, its intense and seems to leap from the glass with notes of mulberry, blackcurrant and raspberry. The palate is fruit-driven and there is certainly no shortage. Packed full of ripe dark fruit like blackberry and blood-plum, there's some spice too - both pepper and cinnamon thanks to well integrated oak which, although elegant, is no doubt present. The tannins are silky and the finish is long. Will certainly continue to develop and evolve with time.

Alcohol: 14.5%
Cellaring: Now to 2035

RRP: $85.00 per bottle
Vinomofo price: $29.00 per bottle
Exclusive price-drop
: $25.50 per bottle in 6pk (limited time only!)
Due for dispatch from our warehouse on the 22nd of September

I must say that when they had this ‘rebrand pinot’ last time I snapped up 12 as a pre arrival.
Was not disappointed and reckon that for the money you’d be hard pushed to find better (imo).
If you like central otago then this is a go

I think the prior one offered was 2018 = Rock Ferry Estate PN 2018 at $16pb.

Nah it was def the Stone Cottage...I bought it from a wine dealer back in June. In fact I’m pretty sure I posted it in here...let me see if I can find a link to the post 🤔

*edit* I posted it in the Pinot thread here, my bad thought I’d out it in the VM thread as well, a bit of discussion around the standard Bendigo Hills vs Stone Cottage ‘rebrand’...the VM broker said something about label rights or some BS 😂

here’s the old VM link

Driftwood Single Site Cabernet Sauvignon
My previous experience has been with the Driftwood Artifacts Cab Sav 2012 (bottle shown as dredged from the depths of the cellar) and it is/was one of the best Margaret River iterations of this variety I've drunk to date. The only reason I still have a single bottle left from several dozen is that I've been loathe to put my last one to the sword, bloody delicious! Driftwood.JPG

I was really tempted by the Driftwood offer. I am just sitting tight as I tend to drink more pinot noir and I dont think I can afford both.

thanks for making things more difficult @Whining&dining

oh the struggle is real 😂

Any ideas on this Sem?

I'm thinking maybe Tyrells HVD or Stevens but am struggling to find alc and drink by info
