Lornano Chianti Classico DOCG 2017 (pre-arrival) - Tuscany, ITA
100% Sangiovese
Owned by the same family since 1904, this boutique winery is located on the picturesque hills of Castellina in Chianti. With 80% of the vineyard consisting of 15 different Sangiovese clones, Lornano are masters of this native varietal and handcraft it using sustainable agricultural practices while promoting biodiversity in the vineyard.
Aged in French oak barrels resting deep underground the Lornano estate in an old wine cellar, while they aim to make wines with a New World style and the right amount of rustic edge.
"Aromas of ripe red cherry, blackberry and blueberry are at the forefront with subtle spice lingering. The palate combines fantastic fruit concentration with a bright, lively acidity providing freshness and energy. The tannins are structured and balanced, and the finish persistent and satisfying. This beauty has all the hallmarks to make it a great contender for the cellar, although with a few years up its sleeve already, this beauty will be ready when you are." - Tane Meek, Vinomofo Wine Dealer.
Cellaring: 2031
Regular price is $50 per bottle. Vinomofo is $20.90 per bottle in six-packs.
