Vinomofo Wine Deals

To me it looks as thought it was made for the Chinese/HK market given the symbolism of the label.

Made by this company. It must be some tightly held secret "Cult" as I have never heard of them.
Yeah, "cult" is a bit of an exaggeration, but they are not a big secret, maybe best know for their "Mother's Milk" Shiraz, they do make some pretty good wines selling around $90-$100 and get mid-high 90's scores on the Wine Companion.

I received a email from my Broker and this wine stood out to me

They had the 2016, 2017 and 2018 vintages of this as Black Market wines, all at $15, probably just another VM exclusive now.

I bought the 2016 vintage and moved most of it onto friends who liked it more than I did after a tasting it was included in. Didn't buy any since.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just read a few a Vivino reviews and they seemed positive.

100% Sangiovese

Owned by the same family since 1904, this boutique winery is located on the picturesque hills of Castellina in Chianti. With 80% of the vineyard consisting of 15 different Sangiovese clones, Lornano are masters of this native varietal and handcraft it using sustainable agricultural practices while promoting biodiversity in the vineyard.

This beauty has all the hallmarks to make it a great contender for the cellar, although with a few years up its sleeve already, this beauty will be ready when you are." - Tane Meek, Vinomofo Wine Dealer.

Cellaring: 2031

Regular price is $50 per bottle. Vinomofo is $20.90 per bottle in six-packs.
(Set to leave warehouse on October 20th)

What didn't you like about it?
Not so much didn't like, but others liked it more than I did so I moved it on. That level wine I buy is usually destined for quaffer packs anyway.
But I didn't find it "fleshy and plush" as the Sam Kim note for that vintage and the VM blurb would indicate and the acid a little prominent.

I had their reserve wine called the bandit a few months back and wasn't overly impressed. Bit thin and too much wood for the fruit. It was better with food than alone but not one I would buy again.

Does anyone know what this one is? Tasted? VIM email today:

2. Black Market Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 - Coonawarra, SA
bmcb
9/10 Vintage - Halliday Wine Companion

It's no secret that in Coonawarra, Cabernet is king. But without a doubt, this iconic winemaking family would also have to pass for Coonawarra royalty. Having perfected their craft over 4 generations, their Cabernet perfectly represents the region's quintessential charm and unique character.
This is an incredibly classy Cabernet showing varietal characters of concentrated black current and ripe plum with subtle mint and hinted cedar. This wine will benefit from a decant now and continue to evolve and develop well over the next 10-15 years.

Oak: 18 months in (30% new) French oak
Cellaring: Decant now until 2034

RRP is $50 per bottle. Our price is $13.50 per bottle in 12-packs.

This looks interesting, has anyone sampled this at all? I'm tempted to grab it. Thanks!

I'd be sorely tempted if I hadn't had three different consignments arrive on my doorstep in the last few days, I'd be very surprised if it would be a bad bet especially at the price...

It came and went fairly quickly - maybe it will come back ...

I did end up grabbing a case this morning. It would be rude not too on free shipping Friday. It looks like it is still available using this link, Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 – Black Market Deal #39842
i'm guessing the pre-arrival link was amended.
Thanks for the updated link. I had to grab a case with the free shipping too, as you said it would be rude not to!!!
Had some referral credits that were getting to be a pain in the cough and blocking other deals. Glad to see them go and more wine coming in. Cheers
