Vinomofo Wine Deals

I can't believe that what I opened last Friday night is the same wine as you guys are raving about. My bottle was musty and rather flat tasting - something wrong with it or my taste buds? I suspect not the latter as the bottle of Massena Eleventh Hour that we opened after that was wonderful - exactly my kind of shiraz. Anyone else had sub-par impressions of the Pirramimma Heritage?
You also need to give it a couple of hours to smooth out. As much I like the '17 Shiraz, the '16 Cab Shiraz is amazing.....

Any thoughts on this pack?

I think most of the time these packs are a little bit more expensive than the sum of their components

That being said I am looking at the GSM, which is Lloyd Brothers GSM
I believe the 95 came from Ned Goodwin who is a Rhone fanatic
Anyone here tried their wines?

Yes Ned Goodwin review. Haven't tried their wines since a visit to the winery some years back where we abandoned the tasting due to very strong aromas from the merchandise being sold in the tasting area.

Anyone have experience with this one?

Appears to be:
Their RSR CS is absolutely fantastic but I've heard mixed things about their shiraz.
If you're after a budget shiraz I recommend picking up the Pertaringa Undercover instead

Regrettably not - it was from Grape Belief, bought lost year and now, sadly, all gone.
Looks like you can still get Massena 11th hr 2019 on VM...

I was surprised it is still about as I grabbed some for the cellar in December. Oddly, blackmarket uncovered doesn't reveal this one, but 39981 was what I bought and 11th hr is what arrived.

One of my faves from years ago. No idea what the 2019 is like. Highest rating being a 95 from SK not encouraging, but what do those guys know

Beyond Black Market 11.0 is out

Wouldn't go near it with a barge pole, with those Sam Kim scores all over it

My 'personalised' broker the lovely Charlotte sent this through to me (and quite a few others I'm guessing), seems like either a made-for-VM number or a new labelling foray, must admit I'm quite curious, anyone else?

Pirramimma Regional Range Shiraz 2017 (pre-arrival) - Barossa Valley!

pirramimma_reg_sel_BV
"If you're not familiar with this winery by now then you must be living under a pile of sound-proof rocks. Pirramimma has been crafting outstanding South Australian reds for over 100 years, and is still largely based around the original plot purchased in 1892. Four generations of expertise and passion are poured into every bottle that this powerhouse producer releases, and for the last couple of years, we've been lucky enough to stock their wines at incredible prices.

I mean, what can I say. We love Pirramimma, and we love Barossa. This really is a match made in heaven. Expect immense power and intensity with robust notes of ripe black plum and good whack of well integrated oak providing layers of chocolate, vanilla and fig. It has all the well balanced structure that we love about Pirramimma and the finish is impressively long, as is its cellaring potential."

Alcohol: 14.5%
Cellaring: 2032
Down from $50.00 /btl RRP to $17.50 /btl in 12 packs
Expected to dispatch on Friday the 20th of May
