Vinomofo Wine Deals

Have you had it before? How did it taste?
I'm curious at it seems to be a polarising brand

Also concerned on 2017 Barossa which is not a great vintage
Had similar thought on vintage so swayed my decision on 12 bottles of the 2018 reserve on Vivino instead with the price error. Still be interested if anyone has tried this vintage though

Has anyone tried the Pirramimma Barossa Shiraz?

On sale now for $15/bottle

I saw some feedback from others a few weeks back that said it was a "bit sweet" from memory... I really enjoyed their McLaren Vale Reserve Shiraz and you generally can't go too wrong with Pirramimma although I too have my doubts given they don't typically specialise in Barossa wines.

Appears to be the 2018 Reis Creek Shiraz as it matches the description for an old deal, 40600.

Anyone tried it?

Also, this

is this but 2019.

Hey AnzacPaul, yeah #42063 looks to be the Haselgrove Cul Stor Shiraz Cabernet Franc. I picked up one of the previous vintages through VM, and from memory it was a reasonable mid-week quaffer for the price.

use code TAXTIME for $30 off and free shipping.
I always seem to get these codes when I have a referral credit and therefore cant use the code
Much appreciated! Picked up the Taltarni after it went missing for a few days. Anyone received theirs and had a sip?

Any ideas about this one, seems like it could be reasonable with TAXTIME code applied?

PRE-ARRIVAL: Shiraz 2018 – Black Market Deal #42076

Thanks, I was just getting to that conclusion, at $20/bottle and free delivery it might be worth it.
I pulled the trigger on it to see what it's like. At $20 a bottle if it's not that flash then I'll leave it for another 5 to 10 years and see. Nothing lost.....

From the bottle I tried: "...nice ripe fruit, good mid-palate but not full-bodied, soft tannin, little lick of oak, good overall balance, moderate length finish. Not going to get you hugely excited, but pretty nice for mid-week drinking or with a hunk of red meat."

More drink now and over the next few years than a 5+ year cellaring wine, particularly under cork.

Thanks - seems to be correct price when selecting 6 bottles instead of 12. I gave it a go with the EOFY20 voucher for $144. Previous reviews on the forum for the 2017 seemed positive (less so for the non-reserve)
Very good deal. Voucher seems to have expired though. Any other vouchers for Vivino? Or someone want to share a referral?

Looks like Reis Creek Chairman Shiraz again, started at $35, was $29.90 a few times,
Has the exact same description as the one I posted above, which appears to be the non chairman version. Wonder what the real world difference is outside of price...

I might have mentioned a couple of months back a bad delivery. Careless Auspost driver smashed some bottles even before he removed the cases from his van. His demeanour and attitude sucked, not one of the regular delivery fellas. He was parked across the road from my home. I went out and helped clean up the broken glass and supplied a new wine case to rehouse the remaining bottles. Whilst cleaning up he got me to ok his electronic device and ended up leaving the remaining case by my letter box. It's a long walk back to the house with these cases. After deliberation I reported to VM (his attitude really sucked and I was concerned about retaliation).
Today my delivery never arrived. Just logged in to AusPost to read this description:
"Attempted delivery - Item damaged
Thu 30 Jun, 2.31pm
"

I feel I am being too suspicious to think this is the same driver now seeking retribution?
