Vinomofo Wine Deals

They've called them "big" before (shiraz) but used as an acronym B.I.G. what's the lowdown considering it's new?? https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/black-market-deal-shiraz-2013?

I think it's universally agreed that ALL VM wine descriptions should be ignored at all costs. It's just marketing pitter patter. There's no way of knowing what is accurate and what's not. Instead efforts should be made to identify the wine itself and then research the wine using more reliable resources such as critic and AFF reviews. I don't even read the VM descriptions these days.

Could not agree more.

Also, it's been said before, but AC you are very good at this!

Allegiance The Artisan 2013

Thanks for the quick response AC...

I won't go into previous forays of identifying wines on this thread as it has resulted in me blocking comments from four of our esteemed members after a particularly galling episode. I'm not so disingenuous that I actually read (and believe) VM descriptions either, I was merely momentarily stunned at the marketing spin they had applied to this particular wine...

They put a stop to this, it was doable when the deal came out because they were not aware, but I've tried it again and they won't do it now

Damn - you snooze you lose. I could always just buy 4 cases in separate trans I guess...

Not this particular wine/vintage surely unless VM's got their "brand new" banner out of kilter....

This is the first time I've seen the 2013 vintage. 2012 and 2015 have been up before.

That said, the website copy seems to be pretty similar between them all.

Edit: I'm suspecting we're probably going to see all their wines on VM eventually - just check their site (the Allegiance site) every time a new red shows up to see if there's a match :)

Is it just my computer with mediocre RAM, but does loading this website, and others similar take a little while longer because of that, quite ironic really, maybe sad too, VM video pop-up?

All good for me BF (I use Mac) was a little taken aback by the VM advertising as they are mostly preaching to the converted....

I ordered Haselgrove The Lear '15 a few weeks ago through the broker and it was approx $29.90 and is screwcap. Not sure what the ad on the site looks like though
