Vinomofo Wine Deals

Also on eBay, +$9 postage, less 15% with POTENT15 Chardonnay 2018 - Black Market Deal #34087 pack of 6 | eBay

Just be warned Vinomofo put up fake quantities and process these orders after their own website orders, so if it's a popular item, expect the eBay order to be cancelled (out of stock). Some of us have endured this directly. They should be allocating stock for eBay orders only, but yeah, reputation means nothing these days.

G’day wine gurus. Short time lurker, and I’m after advice straight away! Wondering what y’all consider to be the better picks of a dozen red wine for around the $150 mark on vinomofo. Cheers

Tell me the best $12.50 and under red(s) you have enjoyed recently and I'll have a look.

Roger. Just off the top of my head I’m thinking standard stuff you get from liquorland and such that I’ve liked. Wynns Shiraz and pepperjack when out at that price. Cheers

Ok, most of the cheaper Shiraz on VM currently might be worth a try, you can always send it back.
Is probably this: Road To Enlightenment Shiraz (6pk) - Online Store
Is probably Juniper Crossing, more like Wynns than Pepperjack

is likely Vinaceous Wines Right Reverend V Mount Barker Syrah, a cool-climate style

This one Bress Unplucked Shiraz 2019 is likely made for VM, so top price quoted is maybe fanciful, but Bress do make some good reds, unoaked style, so not similar to the Wynns or Pepperjack, probably avoid.

The bigger, richer Barossa and MclLren Vale reds start a bit higher, but may be worth the stretch, I personally am not interested in any of those $150/12 and under reds.

For mine vinomofo has nothing at the moment that will beat the wynns for about $11 a bottle at the majors.

Step up $4-5 a bottle and you start to get some good deals.

I’m far from a wine expert though.

Thanks heaps for your help mate. Reckon I’ll go for the juniper crossing. I’ve had a good run on craft beer and some better reds lately, and now it’s time for the wife to load up on some whites. I was after some quaffers to round out the order, think this should do the job. Cheers again

Just with the previous comments, I also struggle to find value amongst all the marketing spin that Vinomofo put out. I have certainly noticed that when you spend more you get better quality wines. Just recently as part of the liquorland deal, I picked up a Torbreck for $10 (usually $25) and it is fantastic. An inky dark colour and very smooth. I also like Pepperjack however I feel that has gone down hill recently. Keen to get any tips for Barossa shiraz like the Torbreck.

I recently got a Farmers leap shiraz (2014) and a quarter of the bottle is full of sediment, I'm considering returning it even though I don't mind the taste.

Invest in a decanter...
It's not unusual for a 6yo red to have a crust/sediment. With proper preparation (stand the bottle up for an hour or two or longer) and decanting properly you only lose a small amount of wine and all the sediment.

Which Torbreck? Woodcutters? If you got that for $10 that's a pretty good bargain.

Yes, the Woodcutters. Definitely a step up in taste. It was a good buy, apparently they were clearing stock.

Ordered Shadowfax chardonnay and Goaty Hill Pinot Noir, their system has an error and sent double cases. On the day I received, the cruiser told me half of my parcels have been relocated to another address. Sadly Vinomofo found out the mistake and those extra cases are sent back to them.
