Vinomofo Wine Deals

Haven't heard from my personal wine broker for more than 7 year and just got the following email. Seems this item is not listed on the general website:

'Hi Dr Ralph,

We've recently received our pre-xmas allocation of the Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2013, one of the Barossa's most iconic wines.

Receiving 95pts from James Halliday, "60+yo vines, hand-picked, open-fermented with 12% whole bunches, 88% crushed/destemmed, 9 days on skins, matured in 68% French oak, 32% American (52% new) for 19 months. A full-bodied shiraz; the tannins are banging on the war drums, so have plenty of protein at hand. Gold medal Barossa Valley Wine Show '18."

Drinking perfectly now but has heaps of life left in it.

Great for Xmas gifts as well.

Available in 6 packs, it is reduced from $200 to $95 a bottle, do let me know if you're interested in ordering a case or two.'

Now if I could get my personal wine broker to contact me with some decent prices!

It matches in alcohol, price, Halliday score, value star and 5 red stars to:
- Rochford Wines Terre Single Vineyard Yarra Valley Chardonnay
- Helen's Hill Estate The Empress Reserve Single Clone Chardonnay (alcohol % not stated in Wine Companion)
- De Bortoli (Victoria) Section A7 Yarra Valley Chardonnay (listed at $55)

Just purchased this Clare Valley riesling: Riesling 2019 – Black Market Deal #34954

I believe it is the 2019 Kirrihill Gleeson & Co Watervale Riesling, which seems to have attracted some great reviews and is no longer available from the producer. If I'm right, the Sydney Wine Comp review is below.

It’s the Helen’s Hill

I wonder what the Gippsland chardy is? That one could be a buy for me if bellview and something and sons pinots are amazing....

It’s Mount Macleod, I ordered assuming it was the Bellvale, was pleasantly surprised though. Gippsland does terrific Pinot and Chardonnay.
Love to hear your review... Lightfoot and sons punot is a beauty too. Bellvale just tops it for mine.

I’m not so good with reviews, I just know what I like. It’s had some mlf so it has the buttery richness I like. If I paid retail (circa $25) I would think I’ve shopped very well. At $11 it’s a steal.
