Thanks legends, on it as usual!!

Anyone taken it for a test run previously?

Eying up the Frank Earnest and potentially the recent 2019 Haselgrove as well. Might need some Cab Sauv to balance the cellar

I haven't tried it personally but I believe @kevviek had so you could search for his TNs in this thread.

Tried Frank Earnest and Haselgrove The Lear shiraz and both were excellent. Frank is more subtle than The Lear - my TNs on both are in this thread somewhere.

Re Cab Sav/blends - I would also suggest Wills Domain Paladin Hill Matrix 2018 - Wills Domain for $40 from VM (I had a bottle already) and Reschke Bos 2006, Cabernet Sauvignon | reschke for $18 from VM - couple of members reported positive experiences .. less that $20 coupon posted before.

I got some of the School House Shiraz from the same vintage and was very pleased with it. Bit more ex at $30, but I was happy at that price.

Cracked a 2006 Reschke Bos Cab Sav last night. Am extremely happy with the purchase, and I’m usually more of a Shiraz man.
At ~$16 or whatever it was, it’s amazing value.
I received this offer from my VM broker on Friday - I didn't buy for myself as I am getting a bit full but purchased 2 cases for my friends so hopefully will get to try it.

If anyone keen - they can try to contact VM and mention it. I am a bit dubious about $75 RRP though!

I have tried Reschke Empyrean 2010 and it was something very special - yet to try Bos CS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A tiny quantity was made for the wineries club and cellar door, so we are very lucky to get our hands on it! Aged to perfection at the winery, this fine Coonawarra Cabernet is drinking beautifully now after 15 years of development.

We anticipate this wine selling out this afternoon.

Pre-Arrival - Reschke Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

This wine really impressed our head wine buyer John, as he described a wine that still has exceptional vibrancy and fruit considering the age. Expect a quintessential representation of the Coonawarra, arguably the king of Cabernet in Australia.

Supple black currant and dark cherry combines with cedar and Eucalypt leading to a long finish featuring subtle leather and vanilla nuance. Tannins still present yet beautifully silky and gentle from the extended bottle maturation.

Down from $75 /btl to $25 in 6 packs

(This wine is due for dispatch from the warehouse next week, 16/04)

Yeah I saw that, could not find 2006 anywhere I looked. Hence I said I was dubious about their RRP.
Regardless it is no longer available anywhere if anyone is after it.

Just got this email from my VM broker

Vinomofo: a top-notch old-vine Eden Valley Shiraz from a boutique producer at more than half-off!

This stunner is a cool-climate red not to be missed. With deep, rich, inky hues in the glass, the nose explodes with notes of punchy blackberries and plums followed by chocolate, baking spices and gentle cedar. The vines (planted in the 1930s) are some of the oldest in the region. The higher altitude (almost 500m above sea level) and 40 months in French oak creates a palate of lush, powerful black fruit and spices with impressive length and structure.

97 Points - Wine Orbit 2019

$150 down to $59.90 per bottle in a case of 6!

I believe this is Sorby Admas The Thing shiraz if anyone is keen - the cheapest I have seen was $50 from Dan Murphy a while ago and it went pretty quick.
