Thinking of getting a case of the d'arenberg 2014 the otherside shiraz. Any thoughts on this wine ? Also any codes floating about ? Thanks in advance.

I haven't tasted the Other Side, but did taste Dead Arm 2014 at the winery a couple weeks ago and it was doing Ok for the vintage, getting quite savoury if you like that character. Also recently tried a few other 2014 McLaren reds from my cellar Yangarra and Inkwell doing Ok, SC Pannell Koomilya (standard edition, not one of the Blocks) was not in a good place, lean and disjointed. Not a stellar vintage and even the better examples are needing to be drunk soonish.

Can someone share their thoughts to the following wines from VM (if they have bought them)? Thanks.

d'Arenberg The Amaranthine Shiraz 2014
($35)
Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk Shiraz 2021
(priced dropped to $29.9)
Jarressa Estate The Foothills Shiraz 2018
($19.9)
I bought the Jarressa Foothills, found it too lean and lacking in the mid-palate, sent it back, obviously some others liked the style.
If you don't mind a big whack of oak the Glen Eldon probably has enough fruit to survive as the oak mellows, but right now it's pretty full on in the oak department.

Wow, forum interest in VM at a serious low - they're having a mega mega (hem) 'final countdown eofy sale' and spamming emails everywhere, yet not a peep here!

We should tell them
Was thinking exactly the same this morning, Bill. Not a peep for a week despite the barrage of EOFY droll from the Fo's kinda suggests we've been all intensely marketed out of our wine-addled minds.

Tried Jerrassa Foothills couple days ago when they finally arrived - bit disappointed actually, not a bad wine but a bit “thin” for my liking. Surprised Halliday gave it 94 pts. I should send them back but probably won’t.

Me too. I’ve been keeping an eye out for a couple of boxes of every day go to quaffers ….but no discount codes and “lowest price ever” which now seems to be VM code for same price it’s always been! I keep thinking the bargains must be coming soon ……🙄
