Yes I have bought 4 boxes as one of my expert wine friends absolutely loved it saying it was better than many of the cab sauvs she had tried. It is very smooth.

No, but I have a 6-pack on the way using the $18 code on Wednesday. I've had 1-2 vintages of the cheaper Old Dog Shiraz some years back, never went back for quantity though.

The hot days and cool nights are very similar to the grape's ancestral home in Puglia, Italy. 2015 was a sensational vintage for the region, and this drop has done beautifully from it. Sourced from old, low-yielding McLaren Vale vines, the wine spends 18 months maturing in a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads. Intense aromas of blackberry and cherry are layered with anise, cedar and spice are followed by densely concentrated ripe black fruits, baking spices, fennel and integrated oak on the palate. This wine is busting at the seams, but chewy tannins do well to hold everything together.
