Vinomofo Wine Deals

It depends on your tier. I am green (despite buying $1000s of dollars worth of wine since 2020) so my selection is limited. People in higher tiers (Silver Gold Black etc) may have access to more exclusive deals.
I'm in the gold tier. For example Rockford BP @ $250, Moet NV @ $60, WB Black label @ $90 when you can get Platinum @ $70 on cellardoor.co; the remainder are the revealed Black market stables.
But I may have missed the awesome deals lol

This is the problem of having several accounts for my “ Extended family “ my main account is silver tier and there isn’t anything that is out of the ordinary. Would love to hear from anyone on gold and Black tiers 👌

You're not missing anything. As Black I can see items such as 'Sorby Adams Reverend Canon Shiraz' for $20, when I know I've paid closer to $17 previously!

Thoughts on Meshach for $99?
Nope.

If you follow the posts you'll know that $60 is closer to the mark for this wine.

Thoughts on Meshach for $99?
They've sold it for $70 previously: 1739492665510.png

I'm Black level, have about 84 offers, all un-masked, all the same price as previously offered. Big Yawn.
79 offers all unmasked for Silver* Level, can see basket press, black label, meshach etc

Nothing too exciting compared to the normal selection

for whats its worth the Tapanappa Teirs Chardonnay is in my opinion on of the best chards in the country.

i dont really see the point of gold or black myself, i only purchase with the $15-$20 off and free shipping vouchers anyway

As a lowly silver member it doesn’t look like there is a lot of incentive to become a Gold or Black member.

I have also noticed VM prices increasing across many of their wines in the order of 20- 25% on their newer vintages which makes this rinse and repeat strategy less impacting to me. I have noticed Winestar and Skye Cellars being more competitive by ~ 20% on identical products lately. I love the hassle free return option of VM but at a 20% premium with fewer substantial codes coming through of late is making it harder to leave the business with VM.

Agreed, some of the other online retailers have upped their game in response.

Like many items, hifi gear, cars, watches, the quality/price graph of wine is exponential. The secret is finding your sweet spot.
Have you tried some of Chris Ringland's high-enders? I have and love them but I can't afford them, so I stick with the best of what I can afford (mostly well under $100pb) and I'm happy with that. Are they 10-20 times better than a $30-$50 wine? Only you can say if that's true for you.

I spend a LOT of time looking at what's available and what's worth the price, I have two weekly tastings of 6-7 wines each and a whole bunch of people on this Forum, other sites and my own Forum to help me do that. It's a nice retirement hobby and ensures good drinking at a price I can afford.
Ha, you know, even as I was posting I thought "why am I using Ringland as the example?" - because, like you, I've really enjoyed those I've had (fortunately I didn't pay for most of them). Grange is probably a better Australian example of an over priced wine for how it's made & what it delivers (although it's not in the stratospheric price to value ratio of many French wines) but yes, that's just my personal taste re Grange, or any wine. As for the Schild 3 Springs : I'm curious as to why you brought it to attention, but then in responding to me seemed to suggest that the offer wasn't particularly good value. I still think it was a very good deal! I'd never been on their website until you posted (now I've collected yet another dealer!).

That's interesting. Firstly I hadn't noticed that VM had introduced colour coding, until it came up here on the thread. Re Skye - I only signed up to them a day or 2 ago after seeing Red B's post about their 3 Springs deal. To me their prices, and many of their wines, seem to overlap VM. I didn't actually think to look at their returns, (or lack thereof) policy. I think VM's approach is pretty generous on that score.

Lol, so many of the usual fake rrp wines now grouped and tiered as if it's some generous and exclusive loyalty scheme that plebs can't access. My view of VM's marketing just dimmed some more, which is quite a hard thing to do. I doubt it will stop me carefully and opportunistically buying when something right pops up, but sheesh really?
