If anything, If it does come to worse for Bonza, I suspect the Singapore Consortium of Private Equity and Businessmen behind REX(Jet) may be the 'acquiring party' of Bonza if it fails to get off the ground.I'm not going to make a big thing about the Banzai idea, but I think they do have agreements with airports for cheaper access and there a fair bit of IP I guess. But if there's isn't much there, it won't cost much to take out a possible competitor on the lower end of the market
There's a name, and an official legal structure and an ABN.There's literally nothing to buy.

Not sure how long it has been postponed but will be interesting to see who has the stamina to keep it going.I wonder if we can have a friendly wager on how many pages of discussion we get to to, before the actual/real annocement?
This is VA after all. What a comically lame excuse.
Tomorrows function is just to announce the UA/VA partnership using the inaugural SYD-SFO flight to kick off the partnership.Looks like its on for Tuesday, with a competing event ... see here:
Qantas to make big FF announcement on 24/5/22 [buys stake in TripADeal]
From the Australian On line The fierce rivalry between Qantas and Virgin Australia will take on a new flight path on Tuesday as the airlines stage simultaneous media events in Sydney. While Qantas is using the lure of a big frequent flyer announcement to make the news, metres away at Sydney...www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au
Basically a few radio interviews of JH, who is there with a UA marketing manager, plus aTomorrows function is just to announce the UA/VA partnership using the inaugural SYD-SFO flight to kick off the partnership.
The event in BNE is still going ahead at a later date
Who cares. This is a VA thread. What about the QF side?
Possibly announcement of 'enhanced' SIA relationship - head of Velocity commented a few days back that both SIA & Velocity keen to reinstate transfers, 'watch the next few weeks'. Of course, after SIA increases cost of Krisflyer paid flights this week. Its baaaaack
