Possibly announcement of 'enhanced' SIA relationship - head of Velocity commented a few days back that both SIA & Velocity keen to reinstate transfers, 'watch the next few weeks'. Of course, after SIA increases cost of Krisflyer paid flights this week.
Original focus was on a "insta-gram-able" event. So not sure how taking photos of a partnership comes into play here

Really Really hope not dogs and cats on planes. Had a barking pooch on my last Southwest flight next to me could do without that on every domestic flight here.
If that is what the big announcement is about, it would be up there with the Qantas announcement a few years back, that they’re going to have sandwich toasters in the Hobart QP 🤣

The Australian seems to think marketing related event, in its executive bashing article.

And we regret to advise of even greater foolishness emerging from the Virgin C-suites, with the airline scheduled to hold a lavish degustation dinner for journalists and executives next week ahead of a marketing shake-up aimed at its customers.

Considering this is on the same day that the Krisflyer/Velocity transfers are reactivated, I suspect the partnerships will be 'rehashed' (including re-introducing QR and UA to their audience) before the 'insta-gram-able' reveal of their main event.

Point transfers are resuming 19 July while the event is on 25 July (thread title refers to original date of 19 May)

I actually think the current branding is a bit stale. I think VA needs a bit of a spruce up.

Needs a bit more VX to it I think.

Was in Spain earlier in the month and someone bought a dog on board... It was barking most of the flight and then it urinated on the floor. Cabin crew did the best they could help clean up but the smell stunk out the cabin. I was far enough away so it wasn't too bad but I feel sorry for the people sitting next to all that chaos

Ansett Australia CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said the newly rebranded Ansett Australia, previously known as Virgin Blue and Virgin Australia, has a lot of history in its original incarnation..
Well, if they reinstate my lost AN Golden Wing points and Diamond status - I could be onboard!

Well I guess it’s better than the usual bullying lawsuits being generated by the Virgin 2 / Bain C-suites!

Come on people, let’s cut the jokes. We all already know Virgin is gonna buy dirt cheap 777 from Boring to start flights to HND, LAX, SIN and DOH.
What else could it be 🥴
