The change over is occuring in Jan 2013. You will notice that the flight schedules are reduced in that period. It is a stepped changover, not all on one day / night to allow for issues to be resolved. Services and features will not all be turned on at once.

Confirmation today was sent out to the travel trade

Virgin Australia will migrate all bookings to SabreSonic CSS which is currently scheduled for the weekend of 11-13 January 2013. This trade release includes information regarding migrated bookings made through the GDS and API channels

Thanks for the info.

*Note to self to avoid VA 11-13th Jan 2013*

My frustration with the VA website:

I have a trip coming up booked with VA via my TA, SYD-LAX-NYC-LAX-HNL-SYD. If I go onto the VA website & try and enter my VA booking reference number & surname into the "manage bookings" page I get an error. If I go onto the DL website & enter my DL booking reference number I can see the flights.

When I called VA about this they told me it's because I booked through a TA and not directly with VA and they purposely block access to the manage bookings . When I explained that I could see my flights on the DL website (including the VA flight from SYD-LAX) when I entered the DL booking reference number they went quiet!

Hey Guys,

Is anyone having problems logging into Velocity tonight? mine keeps coming up with an error.

Thanks,

Dom :)

Not working here:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept

Doesn't work with IE either.

It worked earlier this morning for me.. 7am I think. But no longer working now.

Have had "system error" when logging in last night and this morning.

Appears to be working now.

Just taking a while to load the pages.

I'm getting a "the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." message
