Yep it's happening around the traps to. Eg: Hawaiian premium economy used to be a good standard from Hawaii to West coast now you get elcheapo cough.Looks like more cost cutting aimed squarely at the pointy end, this time without any announcement or warning
I flew MEL-PER in J on the 330 a few weeks ago. Can't speak to the wait on the tarmac but menu was delivered and was asked if I knew the seat. Sloppy crew perhaps.Flew SYD-PER on VA559 yesterday. Business class standard has slipped IMO.
Some changes I've noticed since last flying in the 330 last year:
No menu delivered (I had to find it squashed in the magazine and safety card rack)
No seat introduction by the crew (maybe they assume everyone knows the features)
Only one welcome drink (we had 30+ minutes on the tarmac)
Meal service seemed rushed. The crew didnt seem as proactive with drink and water top ups.
9am departure. Who's eaten breakfast and is ready for lunch at 9:30am? It's not like there is any jetlag to fight.Did VA467 PER-BNE the other day (A330/the Business).
Service was outstanding, but what perplexed me was the meal offering... a 0905 departure with a landing at 1535 BNE time and yet it was a breakfast service??? Maybe instead of two breakfast offerings they could include one that was more geared to a light lunch.

Personally like the breakfast on a departure of that time. Probably left home at 7am, airport at 7:30 to 8, day is just at the start !
Anyone who visited the lounge, i.e. the whole business class cabin. But then again that could be said for any AM flight really.
