Too bad for the red eye flights out of DPS...Catering out of DPS/NAN will always be amazing
It's pretty much the same catering for all flights departing ex DPS.Too bad for the red eye flights out of DPS...
It's bizarre to see prosciutto on cous cous - I'm used to having the cous cous drowning in Prosecco!Proscuitto? VA and I must shop at different Delis
Syd >Melb 9am this morning. Scrambled eggs on Turkish or corn frittata with cherry tomatoes and sweet capsicum relish . Both good, made better by the excellent cabin service.

How on earth are you getting two J meals on a Virgin J flight? Is there some secret code we need to say to the flight attendants to get that level of service?VA1366, Melb to Launceston.
Prosciutto cous cous salad with veggies or mezza plate with awesome hommus. Both were really good.

Two PAX, two Flights - 1D and 1F each flight ... 1F had Frittata in the first flight and cous cous on the second. How on earth are you getting two J meals on a Virgin J flight? Is there some secret code we need to say to the flight attendants to get that level of service?
Yes, that was my thoughts! That looks like a pretty good meal IMO
What I will say is I absolutely love the variety here. Lots of great options on the same day on Virgin instead of the usual porkie one comes to expect flying Qantas J short haul!

VA’s menu could still do with a rotation more frequently. I reckon I scored the Thai Green Curry/Truffle Mac and Cheese combo about 13 or 14 flights in a rowWhat I will say is I absolutely love the variety here

They haven't changed menus, it's more likely different meal cyclesOK, big news............... VA has changed some of their menus!
I was flying on the last VA flight from BNE to MEL (nervous as they had cancelled me a few weeks previously, and I needed to be in MEL (yesterday), so I did buy a QF ticket (as insurance !)). Once I knew VA inbound was airborne and checked with staff prior to any outbound issues prior to (my) final commitment, did I cancel the QF option) proceeding with VA.
I had paid for a flex ticket. However, VA upgraded me (thanks, Jane)
The Curry / Mac routine was replaced with the new summer menu?
In my case some chicken and potatoes dish - quite tasty and reflective of my original heritage. The Faith Shiraz did the job, as always.
Apologies for the photography (I guess I am no Lord Snowdon)

Just off from VA721 ADL-PER and had that rotation. Both tasty dishes but I prefer the chicken curry for balance.
Wow all four of these meals look outstanding.
