VA556 PER-SYD

I had the chicken salad, ocean trout and lamington. I would happily have them all again.

I had Champagne, The Pinot Gris and the Botrytis followed by a Bailey's coffee with a couple of generous refills.

The Botrytis was delightful the Pinot Gris not so much, it was a bit tart and not as light as I was expecting.

The pantry was offered as well as a small basket brought around after the meal service had been completed with some chocolates and savoury snacks that were not on the list. I had the popcorn and a cadbury chocolate that went very well with the extra Baileys

MEL-PER yesterday I had the chicken salad, the pork belly and the cheese with Champagne and Knappstein Shiraz. Pre-dinner G&T with those amazing olives!
All of it was fantastic :)

SYD-AYQ
Choice of soup of chicken salad.
Return flight in Y, a savoury muffin.
Then SYD-MEL at 6pm in Y, a bag of pretzels.

Had the exact same menu on the way back from SYD-PER on VA559 so this time I had the pork belly. It had a nice balance of sweet and spicy and went well with the Sauvignon Blanc which was an improvement over the Pinot Gris.

VA383 BNE-TSV, Received an OBU, due to oversold flight ( originally in 3D, and I saw the guy next to me was a WP as well, so may have come down to my flexi ticket? )

Pantry Pig Tip #1 - nibbles with your drink

pp02_zpsm9mirheo.jpg

You can ask for some nuts or chips to go with your drink, when you order your meal.
(You do get more chips than pictured, pantry pig was hungry before it started photographing.)

Pantry Pig Tip #2 - Perishable Pantry

When on a longer B737 flight, you can create your own personal "second meal service" with fresh finger sandwiches and a fruit plate - but you have to remember to specifically ask the CS to raid the pantry for you!

Yep, CSM is indeed the best friend to make onboard.
They can make or break your journey.
They're more often the most amiable staff onboard.
If anything you may get an interesting anecdote to share in the future.

That appears to be three kids of dip - one of them hummus - with three small pita breads.

I guess they could call that a mezze plate (a bit lame to say this, but) or dips and bread or something like that.

Nice new photo avatar anat0l!!
