Sparkling wine for domestic business class passengers is said to be on the menu. Virgin currently serves Champagne in business class only on its international flights to the Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
However, exactly what would be offered on domestic routes depends on who will make the final call: airline CEO John Borghetti is a true Champagne man, but we'd wager that the airline's financial controllers would prefer an Australian sparkling.
Personally I could care less about the booze side of things just want some better food
Flew SYD to PER on Monday on the A330 in the morning and the following were offered for breakfast (which turned to brunch as a result of a 4.5hr delay due to a technical problem). No breakfast menu was offered with the crew coming around to describe the options to pax
You did better than my wife on previous Monday. Originally booked Sunday night, Virgin changed her to the 737 via Melb. Did not suit her, so was rebooked on 0715 (330) flight Monday morning. 5 hr delay resulted in all the breakfast food being offloaded and no lunch food loaded. No booze, no food, just water and a cup of tea. Business seat was very comfortable though.......
