VA120 from DUD to BNE on Sunday 23 September has B738 VH_YIZ. This scheduled 0745 hours departure was not airborne until 0940 so should arrive at 1121, 96 late.

A332 VH-XFE on transcon BA555, the 0935 hours from SYD to PER took off at 1051 with arrival likely at 1322 this afternoon, 37 minutes late.

On Thursday 26 September 2018, VA1628, the 1350 hours AYQ - SYD (B738 VH-VUO) took off at 1521 with arrival suggested as 1845 hours, 85 minutes behind schedule.

With stormy weather in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney tonight quite a lot of domestic flights are badly late. VA540, the scheduled 1805 hours ex OOL took off at 2047 with B738 VH-VUL and is arriving at 2200 hours, 155 minutes late.

Northbound VA989, the 2000 hours has B738 VH-YFE and took off at 2118 from SYD. Arrival should be at 2228 hours, 58 late.

VA1226 from BNE down to CBR has B738 VH-VUQ and should arrive at 2321, 131 late.

On Thursday 27 September 2018, the day before a Victorian holiday, there's some VA lateness with VA867, the 1700 hours MEL to SYD (B738 VH-VUO) taking off at 1745 and arrival suggested at 1900 hours, 35 minutes tardy.

Another MEL - SYD, VA863 has B738 VH-VUZ and should arrive at 1833, 38 late.

The MEL up to CBR VA279 (VH-YWE) is identical with an 1833 hours arrival forecast (38 late).

VA859, the 1600 hours MEL to SYD is worst of these four, having become airborne at 1747 with B738 VH-VON. Arrival should be at 1904 tonight instead of 1725, so 99 minutes late.

The 1635 hours MEL across to ADL, VA233 was in the sky at 1746 so arrival of VH-YFH looks to be changed to 1824, 54 late.

VA717 (1330 hours afternoon ADL across to PER, F100 VH-FNJ) did not become airborne until 1445 so arrival should be at 1633 hours, 63 minutes tardy.

At 1821 hours, VA278, the 1700 hours MEL - CBR that had taken off at 1736 with VH-YFS was in a holding pattern above Mt Buller, so arrival estimated at 1848 (38 late) may be a little later.

On Thursday 28 September 2018, VA1594, the scheduled 1425 hours from NTL down to MEL (B737 VH-VBZ) did not take off until 1733. Estimated arrival is 1902 hours, 182 late.

While it's an expected five minutes early at 1405 into BNE on Saturday 29 September so normally I wouldn't record it here) usual criteria is a delay of 30 mins or more), in a most unusual move A332 VH-XFE is on VA327, the timetabled 1200 'high noon' MEL - BNE that took off at 1214.

Perhaps something to do with the AFL Grand Final, or going to BNE for maintenance?

VA470, the 29 September 2018 BNE - PER took off at 1850 tonight, 80 minutes after scheduled pushback so arrival of B738 VH-YFH should be at about 2203 hours, 48 late.

Sunday 30 September's VA1394 from BNE for the long domestic trip to PER (less than ideal B738 VH-YFS) took off at 1345, 55 minutes after scheduled off blocks time, so arrival looks to be 1545 instead of 1510 hours.

VA326 (1155 hours BNE down to MEL, B738 VH-YFK) took off at 1319 so arrival is suggested as 1517, 57 minutes past the timetable.

No delays for the last week?? Surely can't be right.

I know SYD blew up yesterday night and affected a few flights.

My VA868 SYD-MEL on 5 Oct was delayed about an hour in the end; 20 mins because of late inbound from MCY, the rest due, as far as I could observe, from a bungled boarding process for those requiring assistance ( not pre called, then had to wait ages until all the families and people in wheelchairs were found, all the strollers broken down etc).

I then just missed my connection to VA1332 MEL-HBA and at the exit airbridge was given a BP for the later VA 1336, only to see VA 1332 delayed by about 35 mins, so I could have made it at after all.

VA 1336 MEL-HBA then delayed about 30 mins for no stated reason.

My checked bag was put on the original flight; no advice given to me about this, so I waited in vain at the carousel in HBA. Close to midnight , with airport closing down, I found a Virgin person who told me they had it in an office, and went and got it.

I guess they couldn't be bothered taking it out to the carousel when our flight arrived or even to page me at the carousel!

A bit of ugliness in PER tonight.

VA471 PER-BNE is currently running two and a bit hours late for a 'nice' 02:15 arrival.

They have given up on VA722 PER-ADL which is leaving tomorrow morning now at 05:15.

VA69 MEL-HKG is currently running 45 minutes late for departure and as I peer out my window from 2K I can see freight handlers frantically trying to load cargo onboard.
And we have just been told atleast another 15 minute delay. Have been up since 3am so was hoping to be fast asleep by now :(

It took off at 0233 on 13 October (against an 0130 timetabled pushback) but arrived just eight minutes late at HJKG at 0818 hours. A332 VH-XFD was the aircraft.

VA1 SYD-LAX departed at 12 13pm, 103 min late. Expected to arrive to LAX at 7 26 (81 min late). This late departure was as a result of VA2 arriving late. (VH-VOZ).

VH-YWA which started the day an hour late out of OOL as VA500 has had a flow on effect for the rest of the day:
VA479 now departing at 1025 to MCY
VA482 departing at 1135 to SYD
VA561 departing at 1440 to PER
VA471 departing at 1730 to BNE
