In more on Sunday 19 August 2018, VA657 (1605 hours CBR - SYD that took off at 1701 with B738 VH-YWD) should arrive at 1747 hours, 42 late.

Announcement in the MEL lounge that all SYD slots have been cancelled for all airlines and only a few will be reinstated.

This is due to weather in SYD and lack of air traffic controllers also in SYD. Some may not make it....

VA693 MEL-PER is delayed 40 minutes even though the aircraft operating the flight has been here all day according to FR24.

VA859, the Sunday MEL - SYD 1600 hours took off at 1704 with B738 VH-VUJ and is arriving at 1823 hours, 58 late.

VA686, the 1230 hours PER across to MEL (A332 VH-XFC) took off at 1331 so arrival is suggested as 1835, 35 late. Perhaps this aircraft is forming VA693 to convey Pleb Status westwards (although hard to see how it could be turned around in half an hour).

The 1255 hours DRW - MEL (VA1460, B738 VH-YFJ) took off at 1417 and should arrive at 1849 hours, 69 late.

The 1700 hours southbound from SYD to MEL, VA866 (B738 VH-VOS) was in the sky at 1754 so the expected 1909 hours arrival will be 34 minutes tardy. VA862, the 1630 hours (B737 VH-VBY) is behind it, having taken off at 1756 for a projected arrival in MEL of 1912 hours, 67 late.

VA693, the 1815 hours MEL - PER took off at 1924 on Wednesday 22 August. Arrival for A332 VH-XFC should be at 2113, 38 minutes tardy.

The 1855 hours BNE down to MEL on Thursday 23 August is VA352 with taskmaster B738 VH-YFG. It was in the sky at 1953 so expected arrival is at around the 2207 hours mark, 47 late.

VA219 (Friday 24 August 2018, the 1005 hours MEL - ADL with B738 VH-VUX) is badly late with takeoff at 1142, meaning likely arrival at 1219 hours, 69 late. It had been bang on time arriving MEL at 1005 hours on VA820 ex SYD, but must be substituting for a failed aircraft.

Later on 24 August 2018, VA846, the 1400 hours SYD down to MEL that took off at 1510 (about 55 late) with B738 VH-VUL should arrive at roughly 1627, 55 minutes tardy.

VA985 (Friday 24 August 2018, the 1930 hours SYD up to BNE that took off at 2028) should arrive at 2141, 41 late with VH-VUC.

VA859, the Sunday 26 August 2018 1600 hours mid afternoon MEL - SYD (B738 VH-VUO) was airborne at 1745 so naturally arrival is tardy, at an expected 1854, 89 minutes late. This will delay VA878, the 1830 hours back down to MEL, the next rostered flight for this plane.

Later on 26 August, VA886 (1930 hours SYD down to MEL that was in the sky at 2037, B738 VH-YFG) should arrive at 2145 hours, 40 late.

The SYD - BNE VA545 has VH-VUH and should be at its destination gate at 2204 hours, 34 late.

VA546 has VH-VOT and is the evening 2005 hours from BNE down to SYD that did not take off until 2131, so arrival is expected at 2250, 75 late and (with a 2245 landing) not long before the dreaded curfew kicks in.

VA811 (Monday 27 August 2018, the scheduled 0700 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 0738 with the very welcome A332 VH-XFC) should be at its destination gate at roughly 0907 hours, 42 late.

The 0700 hours ADL across to SYD, VA407, was about 45 minutes late in becoming airborne at 0800 on the dot, so arrival is predicted as 1000, 40 minutes late.

VA555 (Wednesday 29 August 2018, the 0935 hours SYD across to PER, A332 VH-XFH) did not take off until 1151. Arrival should be at 1431, 106 minutes late. This aircraft had been almost two hours late on VA811, the 0700 hours MEL - SYD this morning.

As a result, VA690 (timetabled 1400 hours PER - MEL) will also be delayed.

VA660 (1705 hours late afternoon Thursday 30 August 2018 SYD down to CBR that took off at 1851 with ATR72 VH-VPI) is arriving at 1934, 89 late. Just as quick to travel by train, drive or (if one must) the bus.
