DPS has seen a lot of the new new aircraft being used, I dont expect you will have an issues getting a refitted aircraft and its likely to be a newbie.

your probably more likely to see a BSI than refit on the DPS routes these days, as the following are configured for international service and get alot of flying over there

VH-YIA
VH-YIB
VH-YID
VH-YIE
VH-YIF
VH-YIG

only drawback is that the BSI currently doesnt offer any seatback IFE

Ah that's great news - thanks to both of you for the info.

Out of interest, what's different between the domestic and international configs on these planes?

They do hand out portable players in J though, don't they?

YFG is due to arrive in a couple of days, just two weeks after YIG! They are sure churning them out!

Did they pick up some extra slots or was this always the plan?

Was always the plan - although the key questions is whether (or at what rate) they are retiring the old planes. I believe they are playing with that in order to increase/ decrease capacity as desired.

The trolly dollies are the absolute last to know anything. They generally find out, right after a public announcement. Although there's no end to the amount of rumours they are willing to believe. ;)
