Virgin Australia "Milestone Announcement" June 1, 2023

About to do a bunch of redemptions SYD-LAX, I wonder, with supposition on redemption points changes, if I'm better doing them today or tomorrow!
Can velocity change effective immediatly its t&c, or do they have to give reasonable notice before doing a change? If the later I would wait tomorrow to see what is changing.

A milestone would be just getting the basics right.

Usb every seat. Wifi each plane. International Lounge options. A decent onboard BOB menu, hot food. A decent website. I think staff wouldn’t mind a decent wage either.

If it is a Velocity announcement, I can't see many of those being involved. They would be more Velocity program focussed.

The terms say they will try to give 30 days notice of significant changes.

Well, it's 1-37 pm on the 1st AEST.
Still waiting??

you can plug in your devices 24/7, airport, home, car everywhere, you really need usb for 90mins in the air?

you can eat 24/7 well not while sleeping, you really need a full menu of food on a plane? HAS to be hot food? don't a few items suffice?

staff a decent wage, of course, but everybody always wants more & more, everybody could do with wage increase, alas we survive.

open a good book (not the bible), have some 2 minute noodles & enjoy your destination FFS.
Glad that everybody can at least agree on a good website!

USB really should be installed on the VAi 738s alongside the incoming MAX-8s, considering the VAi 738s and the incoming MAX-8s will primarily be doing international runs (assuming the DPS/NAN/VLI schedule (alongside HND) on the MAX-8 sticks)

The VAI -800s already have USB’s.

I think we'll find they jumped ahead of the embargo period as it hasn't been formally announced on the VA newsroom yet.

OT but needs to be said somewhere, I know they are normally great however I wish I had the name of the not so nice (read nasty) FA that we had MEL-HBA on VA1320 last Thursday as i would put in a report.

You can still lodge a complaint without the name?
