Virgin Australia "Milestone Announcement" June 1, 2023

you can plug in your devices 24/7, airport, home, car everywhere, you really need usb for 90mins in the air?
you can use wifi on your devices 24/7, airport, home, car everywhere, you really need wifi for 90mins in the air?
you can eat 24/7 well not while sleeping, you really need a full menu of food on a plane? HAS to be hot food? don't a few items suffice?

staff a decent wage, of course, but everybody always wants more & more, everybody could do with wage increase, alas we survive.
While I normally bring a power brick with me when travelling just in case, power and food (and increasingly, wifi) are very handy for daytime PER-east coast runs.

Heh, mid range carrier indeed.
More like LCC now.

We aplologize that due to unforseen circumstance...

Was it about the time that JH's personal timeoff/leave was approved.
Maybe they are giving her some time off, and when she is ready, the news will come back.

That's a little harsh, her husband died, I probably wouldn't be making jokes about that :/

The original article has now disappeared from the executive traveller website too…

It was pulled 2 hours after it was posted (May 23), then the same URL had its content replaced by a story from Oct 2022, now they've removed that old story, which had nothing to do with the imminent announcement.

Word from someone I know in VA HQ is that ET broke embargo by sharing the invitation and VA were none too happy about it...

Although the Luxury Escapes announcement in itself is a little less than exciting, it is quite interesting to see they've teamed up with VA and will drop QF from the end of June (since they needed to wait for the QF contract to expire)...Swissport AU lounges.jpg

Not good Ann these announcements then delaying them, bit of a pattern forming.

Can't keep this up when listed on the ASX, would be bit of a shamozzle.

Looks like Etihad is saving a few $$ by removing their name from The House as well, although keeping their lounge agreements.

Who said any announcement is being delayed? The only one that was delayed was the BNE hanger 'bring on wonderful' event.

Patience is a virtue.
Guess it's still June 1st. Are we still expecting something today, or was it all published incorrectly by ET, as in date wise?

The original ET article said that there would be a media event on June 1, but that the details would be embargoed until June 5. So I would expect an announcement on Monday.
