Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

Hi guys, do I need to be Virgin Employees to use this code? Please advise.

I booked as many sectors as I currently know of. I personally think these promos being advertised here on AFF is a good thing for VA as a number of them would have otherwise been QF bookings. So far this year (due to promos and business specials) I have not booked anything under a flexi. That is unheard of from me, so if VA have reached the mark of value for me, there must be quite a lot of others with a similar mindset. My tally is (so far) 6 x Business and 12 x Flexi (paid) bookings for this year and it's only March. I think things must surely be looking rosier these days for VA. Without the promos, I would not be handing them bookings like that (especially with the latest fare increases).

Are you saying that 10% off makes the difference?

So my question is, have you travelled on a flight booked with this code as yet? And if so, were points and SC awarded? Sometimes, discounts particularly those targeted at travel industry are invalid for earn :(

I've booked and flown plenty of flights with discount codes and have received the SCs and points due.

I have used, traveled and been awarded points + SC

Ye, I have probably flown 20 sectors since this thread started and never missed getting the expected SC's and points. These promo codes are specifically aimed at the fare paying pax (whether company or industry sector). Travel industry fare buckets are quite a deal different and are not booked through public access websites.

I too have always received the SCs and points (including on the questioned BKL24).

AdMEL also asked a question previously, which I answered rather flippantly thinking it was "tongue in cheek" comment rather than question. In case the question was a genuine query, the answer is yes. 10% does make the difference in a lot of cases. For me, not all VA flights are priced better than QF (and I've given quite stark comparisons in other threads) and for those flights, the only saving grace for VA have been these codes. Also, the J flights I booked were all BNE-CNS or vice versa which were on sale at $419, down from the regular $539 so those were circa 24% discounts (pricing a SC at $6.98 which is attractive to me as out of my 110 or so flights per year, only 30-40 accrue SCs and I'd like to keep my platinum for the time being. Flying so much as it is, my preference is to earn more SCs on fewer flights rather than my old habit of multiple cheap but low earn sectors). The other flexis have been at 10% discount which means for every 9 flights paid, I get one (SC earning sector) for free. I'm not sure I know anyone who'd knock back a free flight, so yes, the 10% does make the difference.
