There was reported issues with the first two attempts to deliver it to VA. I think this suggests the particular aircraft still have niggling minor issues.

No different to the rest of the Rex 737s. They really don’t like sitting around for months and months. The plus for VA is the lessor funds all these engineering blues prior to delivery.

It looks like it'll sit in Melbourne for a while before going for painting unlike VH-REX which went to Wagga the next day.

The lessor pays, and in the context of other costs it’s not much, $50-150k or 2 weeks of lease cost

VH-REX which went to Wagga the next day.

VH-REX returned to MEL as VA9926 yesterday.

RQP (originally known as 'Godfrey's Jet' - BZG) has landed in MEL (after 3 prior failed attempts ex-CGK) and will be making its way to WGA for repainting tomorrow, assuming no niggling aircraft issues.

So it appear two Rex 737s, two Silkair 737s, then 6 MAX in H1 next year, then 12 further start being delivered from H2.

So another 20 odd 737s in the next few years. Would bring the fleet to nearly 120.

Add in VARA plus the remainder of the -10s or likely to be converted slots, in a few years this will be the biggest Virgin has ever been, approaching 150 aircraft.
