Interesting, what it could mean is that SQ will sell their VS stake by end of this year?!

I doubt it means that - it might but it doesn't have to. It simply means that they've given permission which could be for any number of reasons: the simplest being that VB paid them, they may have done a more comprehensive deal (which would be exciting!), etc. May find out today.

Multiple sources are now claiming that it will all be VA by year's end.

Maybe code share agreement with SQ?! ;)

Has been confirmed that Virgin Australia will replace both V Australia and Virgin Blue. No word on Pacific Blue or Poly Blue yet.

Also a rumoured BIG change to Velocity Rewards might be announced later today, could also involve a name change.

All trending on Twitter with hash tag #newvirgin. Aus Business Traveller (@AusBT) and Will Horton (@Winglets747) are tweeting live from SYD Airport presser.

So Blue, V and Pacific to come under "Virgin Australia", Polynesian Blue to be left alone it seems.

More pictures coming to you live from the event :-)
