"The Virgin re-birthing event hasn’t yet kicked off but the news so far is that V Australia flights be also be folded into the Virgin Australia brand by the end of the year."

I doubt it means that - it might but it doesn't have to. It simply means that they've given permission which could be for any number of reasons: the simplest being that VB paid them, they may have done a more comprehensive deal (which would be exciting!), etc. May find out today.

Multiple sources are now claiming that it will all be VA by year's end.

Has been confirmed that Virgin Australia will replace both V Australia and Virgin Blue. No word on Pacific Blue or Poly Blue yet.

Also a rumoured BIG change to Velocity Rewards might be announced later today, could also involve a name change.
