Funny you mention that and I'll go off topic for a minute.Yet another reason why we shouldn't trust airline (or most other) rewards programs.

The Treasury Casino's loyalty program is undergoing some changes. The absolute dollars which one could use for shopping have been effectively halved from 08 November. The snacks in the members area have gone from a packet of 90g sea salt chips to a 47g scoop of sea salt chips in a small bowl. They empty the contents of a bigger bag of sea salt into containers and handle the scoop and put back in container.
Saving peanuts of already pitiful rewards.
You can go back as many times as you like. If you are carrying a couple of drinks and a bowl it starts to get messy. That ditty will win many a "who is the most stingy" argument. Just take in your own bag of chips?
SYD-TSV is never on sale any more, not the last six months. I think the direct flight (VA1519/20) is finished now?
Va1519/20 still operates > https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/va1519
Sales are about supply and demand. If the airline is able to fill up a plane with the lead-in fares or has little competition the changes of a sale slim down. Airlines have various sales on all year round and every route is not going to be on sale each and every time.
If on sale or not, you always have the option of using promo codes to receive a discounted rate.
