Virgin Happy Hour [Thursdays]

re: Happy Hour returns

There was an email sent. Are you registered for V-mail? Perhaps check your preferences in your account :?:

I am registered and receive all their other emails (including one two days ago advertising cheap fares to Melbourne...I live in Melbourne!). No idea where it went. Maybe they think I have enough upcoming bookings.

re: Happy Hour returns

Missed it :( sounds promising though, hope to catch some decent sales from DRW.

Scott.

Happy Hour returning [4-8pm Thursday 3rd]

Did you sign up through the link that VFF posted on this thread (post #1)?

I wasn't sure if it was a different V-mail subscription than the the one in my account preferences, so I signed up through it too, to be sure.

re: Happy Hour returns

No email here either. I've got some trips coming up, though.

Did you need to get the email to take advantage of the sale?

re: Happy Hour returns

As per my earlier post the confirmation email did not come through. I tried to register again but got a message that my email was already registered. No email received re the sale-that to me is a fail

I suggest you subscribe to this thread, selecting "Instant notification by Email" - the first heads up post last week was Wednedsday at 1:46pm.

Isn't it rather amusing and somewhat tragic that a frequent flyer forum is needed by VA to supplement their problematic vmail notifications!

VA know of the vmail problems but can't or won't fix it. I too don't receive them and do tend to monitor AFF to find out about the goodies.......but I do wonder if I have ever been the recipient of their targeted offers, only to never actually receive the offer. Surely an airline must ensure their website is near perfect (I'd even accept near workable). Over the weekend, I was trying to search and book a variety of O/S airfares (not VA) and the ones who's web sites didn't work, I scrapped straight away. Shopkeepers don't expect customers to come in, if their front door is jammed closed and they get someone specialised in to fix it immediately if they want to stay in business! Why do airlines think they're so different? How much, I wonder, of VAs recent loss could have been reduced if people weren't driven away because of their ongoing web issues?

Of course, not an ideal solution, but as a suggestion, could you establish an alternate new email address such as gmail or yahoo and see if that works to receive the emails? My yahoo account receives VA email about 12 hours after my gmail account.

Somehow or other I received the email today
