Re: Happy Hour returns

Yes its Entertainment book, you get a code that can be applied against any booking usually issued within two days, sometimes same day.

Its worth it alone for the Woolworths gift cards, BigW is 7.5% off at present and you can buy Accor git cards with it at any Woolworths outlet including supermarkets ;)

Can the digital version of the entertainment book be loaded on two iPhones or is it better to use the card?
Why have different entertainment books? Can't you use the discount in other locations apart from the area you live just by searching an area on line (as opposed to the old "tear off coupon" version)?

The digital version is active on one device only, and different areas have different offers, for instance my Brisbane one covers food etc up there but shows nothing in Sydney. Fortunately the national offers are the same regardless.

So having the card is preferable for both me and my +1 to use (bearing in mind I'm not here for much of the year and she will use it most)?

wow so if you get new phone, you lose it?

Re: Happy Hour returns

what is minimum lead time to travel on the happy hours typically?

Pity about the credit card surcharge on all tickets. What do you guys do? Just do DD?
Have a gift voucher lying around with enough value to book required flights. The higher the value of the gift voucher the more flights you can book with the gift and the more you can minimise the credit card surcharges to be paid.

Have you tried gift cards to nearest $50 of fare with cc to get points then the remainder bank transfer
Are you sure this is possible? If paying part of the airfare the remainder has to be paid with credit card. I know POLI doesn't work so would love to know how to avoid paying the credit card surcharge.

Great point JohnK. So basically I need to avoid the situation where the fare is greater than the voucher? because if the ticket is entirely covered by the voucher, there will be no CC fee? Can i use one voucher to book 3 people? i dont see the restriction (as on QF) where you have to specify how many pax etc. Does the residual come back safely? if so, this is sooo much better than QF vouchers.

I think I read here somewhere that the CC fee is not levied for under $50 cash component transactions.

Re: Happy Hour returns

No, its allowed on one phone at a time but is in fact a floating licence ie it can be transferred.

Ah ok, and thats not so bad. I also just read that you can apply for conversion from digital to book if doesnt suit!

this?
For a redemption booking, the payment amount will comprise of taxes or, where the total cash component of a booking exceeds $50 and this amount is paid for by credit card or debit card, the payment amount will comprise of taxes and a Booking and Service fee"

Will start a new thread given this is going OT.

I haven't tried but I think it would be possible to book more than one person and use the gift voucher as the gift voucher is nominated for payment at the end of the booking and is not a booking reference like the Qantas system.
