Do they at least have a full bar? Or just wine and beer?

Limited bar that you queue up for. Early morning flight for me so only a cheeky champers but otherwise very non eventful on the food front. I'm sure they used to make omelettes on request though but not now.

Uugh. I have a 10am flight to DPS but no way im boarding that flight without at least a few scotches in me lol

The sparkling was quite drinkable in the Plaza in BNE
The wines in the DPS T/G lounge was the most undrinkable I've ever had the misfortune to taste-they were Balinese. Moved onto Bintang rather than pay a premium for Australian wine

Has anyone heard anything new on the expected opening date for the "My Lounge" ant BNE. Virgin website says "opening early 2019".
How late in the year is opening early o_O:cool:

The display of cask wine on the counter was what drove me to the Bintang

My eldest was doing the bar run, so I didn't get to see the danger signs

Haha the reviews of the T/G lounge are all over the place. Some people report a limit of 3 alcoholic beverages, while others report that you have to pay for your drinks.

Im guessing that paying for the drinks is if you are using a priority pass and the limit of 3 is for everone else. Is it worth even going in?

Im interested in this as well. Its already been pushed back from last year so who knows when it will actually be operational!

You have to pay for any alcohol that isn't cask wine or Bintang - I'd read the limit of 3 as well, but was told "unlimited" when I entered the lounge two weeks ago.

Of course...after the school holidays, which means I miss out on checking the place out the one time I have an international flight from Brisbane (and on VA as well)!
ditto, i'm out mid April

Im hoping to check it out in early july but wont hold my breath. Id say its a 50/50 to actually be up and running by then.

Did the Singapore Lounge a few weeks ago. Great staff, but small and food was no better than the PP lounge next door. In fact, I would have preferred the PP lounge as we would have got a proper seat and better range of food.

What SIN lounge?

Depends on the time... a few weeks ago I was flying out of BNE on EVA Air. As an NZ Gold had access to the NZ Lounge, Plaza Premium and the SQ Lounge.

The Plaza Premium Lounge had people sleeping on the floor and limited food, the SQ lounge had a queue of 20 people to get in (so didn't bother) and the NZ lounge was quiet with just a few from the Etihad flight.

SQ has good food for the 2pm departure to SIN but it seems to go downhill for the evening departures (and the 9am flight just seems to have a normal spread with limited breakfast food). Mind you Plaza Premium with the beverages ticket it just odd - they should figure out another way to allow in Priority Pass without forcing all others to have a ticket.
