Virgin Lounge Food

If you would like to do a pre trial trial I am sure we can get a tasting panel together!

Great Idea! That way we can all be ready to start complaining about "how the food is *still* the same" a month or two earlier than the general travelling public? :)

Appreciate the update.. I'll leave the rest of my negative comments in my head for now (since I don't fly Virgin anymore, I don't think I have a right to comment)

BNE Monday night 1945h. Asparagus soup, the usual weak sandwich buffet and the dogs. Hope J meal makes up for it.

So it is still the same uninspired offerings .. OMG. the chef was perhaps recruited from the RSL club.. :-|

On the weekend Mini Quiches at Sydney were good (although perhaps that's because I was starving), and they had Peroni on tap. Meanwhile, the automatic pancake machine in Melbourne is still out of commission!:(

Hot dogs again in SYD tonight. Let's hope it's because they are trying to run the stock out before they change the menu ;)

Now to see what BNE has to offer me once I get there.

Give me a toasted sanga anytime over some rice curry concoction. When I'm travelling I don't need the risks.

But IMO, I prefer the Virgin offerings, more so than the spartan breakfast -> dinner offerings that QF are apparently providing nowadays.

Yeah. I think we might as well just stop reporting what happens until a definite change happens to the menu.

I know a lot of you are sick of hot dogs, but is that not better than just a limited cold cut and salad bar and a bowl of apples like we use to have?

I must admit to longing for hot dogs (and quiches and LMPPs and pizza), as the times I generally fly, are not the times the hot dogs are yapping (nor any other hot delights)! For me, the toastie and pancake makers are the only God sends. I do also miss the little shot glasses of museli :(.

I also don't quite get the concept of two soup warmers with both the same soup (asparagus sucks by the way). Why not have two soup choices (especially with winter almost here)?
