Credit Card Offers Virgin Money Velocity Flyer Offers & Discussion

FYI. I missed points for one month as Virgin "month" does not equal a month, it equals a statement period. Complaint lodged. Next step will be AFCA complaints if points don't come through.

Did anyone claimed the $129 voucher?
I tried via the online webform here, Request Your Voucher | Virgin Money Australia, once completed there was no acknowledgement from the form, no confirmation email, and no vouchers so far (do they come via emails?). It's been a week. Curious to hear other's experience.

Wondering

I had the same thing happen. The card took 2 weeks to show up, which left me with 2 weeks left until the end of the statement period. I had no idea until the statement appeared, and of course by then it is too late. Apparently the statement period started the day they approved the card.

After two calls they have cut me a deal where I have to spend $3000 in 2 statement periods, so i have the opportunity to catch up with spend, and I won’t miss out. So they will give me 50,000 points at end end of the second statement, as long as I hit the required spend.

I really hope I still qualify for the extra 30,000 points via the Velocity EDM offer.

I had the same result. Tried twice a week apart (Desktop and ipad). Gonna give them a call tomorrow and see if I can claim it over the phone.

I finally go it to work, and indeed I get a confirmation screen once it was correctly submitted. To me issue was my browser autofilling some of the fields. I think this velocity web app doesnt detect the user input, and just fails silently. Once I input the fields manually (or just did a small edit on the auto filed field), it worked. Hope this help, maybe.

I just tried another browser and also got it to work. Chrome on my PC and Safari on my iPad both redirected to the Virgin Money website immediately after submitting. No autofill is enabled. Ended up submitting via Firefox and got the Thanks for requesting your Virgin Australia Gift Voucher message.

I never ended up needing to call. Submitting the form via Chrome on my PC and Safari on my iPad failed several times. I ended up installing Firefox on a whim and that worked. I received an email a few days later, and the credit to my travel bank shortly after that.

I tried calling twice today, and after 20 mins they gave up and said submit it again. My counter of 'what if it fails again' didn't elicit any further interest from the agents.

When you submit online, do you get an acknoledgment message of your request? If not you may want to try different browser, and/or disable autofill feature (enter manually your details). Good luck.

That's all I can suggest too. A new browser is what did it for me. I wsan't getting the acknowledgment screen, whether manually entering information or using autofill. I just got redirected to the Virgin Money homepage on submit.

Otherwise just keep calling until you get a useful agent on the phone.

Good luck

That may take a while given my experience 😛
I only ever had to call Virgin Money once, as my Velocity details they had did not match. The number was correct however the name was butchered. They answered pretty quickly and as soon as I explained what happened they fixed it quickly, noting that particular issue was a common one. The points then came across in the following statement.

After submitting the form again last night, I called today and they are 'looking into it'

Thanks for this info. I also had tried using Chrome and Safari with no success. Have just downloaded Firefox and after resubmitting the request got the acknowledgment message.
It really shouldn't be so hard though ... sigh....

I also had submitted the travel credit voucher multiple times but have not heard back, assuming my online application didn't work. Just called them and the rep was kind enough to lodge it for me on my behalf.
