Is that anywhere near Tokyo station? I might consider staying there next year when I visit Tokyo and will be travelling by the "bullet' train to Kyoto.

It's v near Shinjuku station. I can't remember where that is in relation to Tokyo station, sorry.

It's near Shinjuku (On the Airport NEX line) as mentioned earlier. Long distance from Tokyo station IIRC - ~30 mins on the train?

It's about a 10 min walk (I did it with a suitcase!), there is a Hilton bus or another bus that will take you there. The subway (if you can navigate it!) will get you there as well - stop across the road, or a taxi.

I caught the Airport Limo bus there from Narita. Was much easier at my arrival time.

Well, maybe the goose sometimes has a golden moment.

Finished my 4th stay recently and today logged into Hilton HHonors to see: HHonors Gold VIP

No letters, no phone calls, no fuss or muss. :D

Noticed - thanks for that.

Like you, however, I'm curious to find out when my HHG will expire. I think I had a discussion about this with HHonors lately and they said it will last 12 months. (i.e. expire next year end October).

Also, I never received a Hilton Racing card as per the website would say. Not that I would expect one really as I don't see how it would be any practical difference to my Blue card.

Finally, I actually called HHonors a few times to clear up some issues (and book Hilton Sydney with PR40TP when their website kicks itself in attempting to do so). Each time I confirmed I was in the racing promotion and each time they confirmed how many more stays and how many more days I had left. So it seems it was all OK from the start, albeit very much a lack of tracking/tracing collateral.

Hi,
Just a query about Hilton Racing promotion.
I am going to Adelaide a few times in January and then Singapore in March. I think all within a 90 day period. However I am staying in Adelaide only for a night each time before returning to Melbourne.
Do single night stays booked via the Hilton website qualify towards the necessary 4 stays for the Hilton Racing promotion?
Thanks in advance to all who have gone down this path.
K

I completed the challenge earlier this year and with the exception of one three night stay, the remaining three stays were single nighters. There was no problem with crediting and achieving the challenge. It's always a good idea to keep your receipt given to you on checkout from the hotel, in case something doesn't get done back in HHonors land quite properly.

Yes they do count - a stay can be 1 night. Similarly, 3 of my stays were single night stays. Sounds like you'll have it in the bag.

I got HHonors Gold with 4 one night stays via the Hilton Racing promotion....

Same here!

The key is stays, not nights. Also keep in mind that checking in within 24 hours of checking out at the same location counts as one stay, not two.

Also, make sure you note down personally what date your 90 day count starts from. Whilst calling Hilton will allow you to confirm the date, I didn't have any formal documentation of sorts that I was on the promotion. (I had to continually call Hilton to confirm that I was x number of stays away from fulfilling the promotion and I had y days left to do it in. However, on the conclusion of the 4th stay, my profile was very soon updated to show my new status.)

If Hilton give you a special offer along the lines of ". . . for stays between 10 January and 10 February . . ." if you stay the night of 10 February, is that included in the special offer?

I would think that would depend on the exact terms of the offer (is it stays completed including the nights of 10 Feb) plus the process of posting the stay transactions and whether that is correctly linked to the terms of the offer.

If they failed to post correctly and you feel aggrieved, an email to the relevant area including a copy of the T&C's and a copy of the folio/invoice from the Hotel, will assist to get your issue reviewed.

Of course, always better to try and avoid a transaction needing to post on the final day of an offer.

I got my shining new Silver card today (was gold, but with about 2 stays in the last year, that's well gone).

Along with it was a fast track promo: Stay 4 nights from May 1 to July 31 to requalify for Gold.

Based on other HH offers out there, I might actually go for this... May be needing a few nights of Brisbane hotel stays anyways!

You could always go to Cairns for a couple of nights.

So they not only soft landed you, but they gave you a chance to requal Gold.

I hope they are that graceful to me next year, because I might only get just over four stays this year (which is by definition enough for Silver).
